I'm a big fan of Z since watched the movie F&F Tokyo Drift. However, for many reasons, I never got to own one every time when I was buying a car. Until my friend shown me the pics of Amuse 370Z last year, I decided to have one. But things didn't go smooth either. I test drove a manual Z and ended up with full of disappointment. I have to say that I hate the clutch. (I know "hate" is very strong word here) Later on, I borrowed a Z from a friend of mine, and wanna give it a try if I would like it after a few days. It was hopeless. Coming from Porsche's and S2k, no matter how much I loved the Z, I couldn't get over the wired clutch feel. So the Z dream was held on for a few months.

Anyways, until yesterday, I saw the speedhunters.com posted up a new series photoshoot of the amuse Z. I was completely sold! The buying process was simple, test drove a manual, a nismo and an auto. So here is my pick, 2011 370Z basic with auto. Let the modding begin! :happydance:

Have anyone seen 20" LM's on Z in real life? How do they look like? Too big? Too busy? Or classic as usual?
I have a set of Lm's in size 20x9.5 +40 and 20x10.5 +20 off from my GTR. The offsets are kind of weak, and I don't have the right tires for them. However, I'm thinking of putting on my Z. but dont' wanna waste $$$ on tires if I'm not gonna like them.
Opinion welcome!!! Thanks!

docaam 08-12-2011 02:48 AM

LMs would look nice and size isint that bad you might need to run 10mm spacers front and back

hdskull 08-12-2011 02:55 AM

They look sick on the 370z.

CarbonSignal 08-12-2011 08:06 AM

good luck with your project :)

hit me up when you ready for amuse kit, we would love to help you making that sexy Z look even sexier :)

^^ Thank you for the comment guys. I will mount them on the Z tomorrow and see how I like it.

I got Sport pkg BBK, 34 row oil cooler, power steering cooler (I'm going to convert this into tranny cooler instead), Nismo fin from Z1. Excellent customer service!!

Wheels look great man! If you're looking for a drop on a budget go Swift Spec-Rs, I have them and love them!

Thank you! I actually got the Eibach springs. I will eventually get a set of track/street coilovers when I get used to the car. So everything is just for now.

some notes on the mods I have installed right now

- Eibach springs, fronts actually higher than rears for some reason...
- stock seats are much lighter than what I thought. probably not saving anything by changing out the seats. But I track my car so i did that for the harness.
- Stock sport bbk are stupid. You can't even see how much pads you have left from outside! WTF!!

- Z1 34 row oil cooler is huuuuuge!
- Sparco Fighter seat is one of the most comfortable seats for DD/track. It's wide and soft, so much better than the SPG on my other cars. However, it doesn't allow 5 or 6 point harness since it has no bottom mount.

k20z3 09-16-2011 11:10 PM

CE28n's = fav

k20z3 09-16-2011 11:10 PM

nice *** seats!

Amuse bodykit is at the bodyshop right now.

- The fitment of the Amuse kit is excellent. One of the best bodykits I have put on my cars.
- The kit comes with full set of Amuse decals. (working on where to place them right now. lol)

Jonathan Vach 09-18-2011 01:17 AM

From Bake Tuning. Luckily, they had one in stock. It's the real one. I love Amuse products so I always support them.

Thanks. Now the waiting is killing me. Still 2 weeks away before it's done.
I only drove the car twice after I bought it.

Tell me about its pretty dumb that you have to take the wheels off.

I hope your car is ready for Buttonwillow this Saturday :D

I was told the bodykit will be done tomorrow but they wanna let the parts dry for a few days, and do the clear bar this weekend. So I can't bring the Z for sure.
Do you wanna go to CVS next weekend? I might be able to bring the Z.

gtkiller 09-21-2011 01:18 PM

What's that? We can talk more about at button this Saturday. :)

A little updates
- Z1 34 row Engine oil cooler
- Z1 P/S oil cooler
- Tranny oil cooler, off from my GTR . it was an engine oil cooler before, it looks as big as the Z1 34 row setrab cooler. lol. Hope it works.
- Quaife LSD
All kinds of coolers are ready for track abuse. :driving:

More updates:

- FastForwardWheels did an excellent job on the wheels. They are 4-stage powdercoasted in silver. They might be a bit expensive, but the quality is up there.

- The rear taillights are too bright for my taste, so I take them off to tint.

Amuse kit is done.

- The mesh comes with Amuse kit is way too weak. It might be ok if you just drive around town, but it can't hold up for track duty for sure. Anyways, we are getting Motorsport metal mesh for it.

- Actually, all the Amuse body parts is one piece, so they are hard to paint any accent on them. If any of you thinking of the kit in the future, you might just vinyl wrap the accent you want instead of paint.

- The stock exhaust actually really nice piece. By looking at the rear session, I don't think there's any power left there. If you are looking for more power, you need to get rid of the cats for sure.

- I was worry about how the satin wrap on the hood would look like on PW, it came out very nice. If I had lots of cash in hand, I would wrap the whole car. Well, maybe I will do it if I decide to keep the car for awhile.

- We wrapped the wing blade in CF instead of black.

Thanks man! Yes, I'm kind of worry how they come out. But I'm not going crazy with the tint. It will be just medium dark. I have done that to my C63. It should come out the same.

gtkiller 09-29-2011 12:33 PM

Oh okay, yeah thats not bad at all, I thought you were going to go darker hehe...

Dallaz 09-29-2011 05:08 PM

Holy C63, GTR, 370Z!!!!!! Amazing! I don't think I've seen anyone put the wing on before installing the rest of the kit, looks great and the tint is gonna go good as well. Gotta see more

Thank you man! The tint guy told me that he needs 2 days to wrap everything, so it didn't happen. :shakes head:

- Gas cap has much darker color than the rest of the car. Nissan always provides horrible paint job according to my experience. I could cut the paint off on my GTR with my nail. WTF

- The whole spare tire thing weighted at 44 lbs.
