Let me know what you think. I picked her up last Thursday(6MT,S,T,navi), tried today to get tint, but they were out of film large enough to cover the back :(....looking forward to this site

I went for the black. Persimmon really isn't my style. Not hating on the persimmon owners though :hello:

Fellow black on black owner here, though I didn't op for the sports package.

Have you decided on a tint %? I don't know about IL's laws but I got 15% and they look great.

Hey, for the black on black owners - do you feel that the car is too dark/cave-like with the black/black combo?

I was test driving a black/black z and since the side windows are a little small, the black interior felt like it was a dark cave.

Just wondering what your opinion is.

I always wanted a black on black car and I'm more than satisfied with my Z and its interior. I guess it's all personal preference :driving:

yeah, Illinois allows 5% across the back 3 or 5 windows. anything on the driver and passenger windows is illegal. Regardless, I'm doing 35% on the back 3 and 50% on the sides. local cops usually will just ignore it;state cops will ticket the shiat outta ya :|

it is a little dark, depending on where the sunlight is, but then again I kinda like it. White would get too dirty IMHO.

I want to take that sticker off mine, btw. Let me know if you do it and how hard it was.

Excellent! I bet it's the one I saw in the showroom last week next to the white GT-R. Kinda wish I would have waited for the persimmon after I saw it. Congrats! :ughdance:

Yes, I took that ugly sticker off yesterday. I used a craftsman heat gun on LOW heat about 6-10 inches away from the paint and waited for the sticker and glue to dry up and curl ; it took about 15 minutes. There was a little residual sticker that came off with no problem with a cotton ball and some xylene. Use gloves if handling xylene and Yes it is safe for car paint/clear coats and tar removal type things too.. You can pick it up at most any paint store.

Yep, that was my baby. I love that damn GT-R, I think it even made my Z look hotter just being parked next to it. I've been in that dealer 3 times now and each time I saw a different GT-R. My salesman (Donny) told me they have sold 12 so far.

Thanks for the tip on the sticker. I think I'll try my wife's hair dryer first since I don't have a heat gun....

I drove 3 different Z's and looked at a dozen but could just never get into the black interior. It was like a cave. I had seen the persimmon pictures on the net and loved them. When a black/persimmon finally came within 200 miles of me I went and bought it. Even with tinted windows it looks very classy inside.
