Under the knife
I figured I have been on here long enought to start my very own build thread so here it goes. I have already done a few things to "Mandy" up until this point, IE Amuse side and rear skirts, muffler delete, B&M Short throw shifter and Stillen Gen 2, but on June 10th 2011 it begins!! I currently have lots of goodies setting in a spare bedroom needing to be put on and I am finally going to take time to do it. I will update as things progress but here is a list of the mods to take place in the month of June.
Stillen gen 3 (to be powdercoated black) motordyne370 stillen headers stillen hfc H&R springs H&R spacers (15 front and 20 rear) SPC camber kit stillen sways Lizard skin sound deadner and heat coat. Carbon Signal Carbon fiber accent pieces Items to be performed in July+: UAM Fenders (awaiting paint) Custom hood by myself (need to start cutting) Full custom Paint (cadillac cts-v black raven) Rims (have not decided on to what as of yet) Front Bumper (undecided but I am sure andrew has something for me) Spoiler from rick (need to purchase that thing) and if I get froggy I may do some custom interior inserts to match the paint scheme which I will keep secret for the moment. Nothing out there but just a accent color/s.

looks nice.. that white is a little bold in the rear but different. Are you planning on wheels in the future?

That is actually silver that matches the wheels the sun is reflecting off of it. this picture may give you a better idea even though it is a crappy one.

all right I have been at it since 7 this morning. it took me a good 6 hours and gutting my forearm just to get the right side headers and cats off another 2 for the passenger side. also masked off the underbody and sprayed the first coat of lizardskin sound deadner. I am letting that dry overnight and will hit it again in the morning with the heat shield. I am dog tired right now and going to bed to dream that putting the headers and HFC back in will be easier.

I guess I should have put money under my pillow for my dream of an easy install to come true. took most of the day to get them in. also had to take the original headers and have the upstream sensors heated to get them out they were melted into the header and would not come out without heating them up. had to re tap them just to get them to work. but was afraid that they had been destroyed in the process. It roared to life just after midnight and as I guessed I am throwing a code. I dont know if it is the sensors or the need for a tune I guess I will figure it out for now I hope it will not affect anything until I know for sure. I could not get on it since it still in on stands and it would wake the neighbors but once I get the sways on I will take it out for a sound check.

finally went to the dyno and got a tune. I dont know the type yet but it runs 10-15 less than the average so the results are not the greatest but the feel is alot better. it ran a 298hp with a 240 torque. it ran very strong. plus the temp was close to 98 degrees when we made the pulls. The only problem I am seeing now is my LSD/VDC light comes on once I go into 2 gear and stays on but once I turn the car off and then back on it goes away until second gear. Not sure what is going on if anyone has any ideas let me know.
