A friend is hooking me up with a camera rig that attaches to the car to get the speeding car effect, that might be fun to get 2 40ths in the shot with that effect. I'll keep you updated.

HKYStormFront 05-11-2011 08:16 AM

great pics man! what's your gear list?

edit: ah, looked on your flickr, 5D2 FTW! i'm debating either that or the MkIII when it comes out... miss my 5Dc :(

adampetrasek 05-11-2011 12:06 PM

From the little bit of reading i've done, the 5DIII could still be a year away.
If you can wait... it's suppose to be a huge jump in image quality!
But the 5DII is no slouch either. so its a win either way
or just stock up on some great lenses while you wait for 5DIV :tiphat:

HKYStormFront 05-11-2011 02:28 PM

i can't wait for a 5D4 to get back in a full frame, i'm either going to get a mk2 or mk3... it'll just depends on the funds and pricing at the time. i will most likely get a mk3 unless i find a great deal on a mk2. i've used several of them before and i like them a lot, they will do everything i want to do with it but i'd like to get the digic5 image processor and the better AF system that my 7D has

were you getting a tune or just dyno?

AndyK. 08-14-2011 02:01 PM

What kind of lens are you using? Very nice car and clean pictures.

It was just a baseline dyno before i go and get the Fast Intentions exhaust installed next week. Then i'm going to order some post MAF tubes and go back for a tune. I know i won't NEED a tune, but i'd like to fix my slightly rich AFR, and i love the idea of the different tunes (economic, performance, valet).

I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark II and mostly Canon L lenses with large apertures. Thanks for the compliments!

After reading http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...er-spring.html I removed the clutch pedal helper spring a few days ago. Today i put on a replacement spring from Century Spring. Part#72577 (Thanks bluenoser) I was told this spring is about 20% as strong as the OEM spring. and it really only gets rid of the little bit of looseness that was there sans spring.

What a world of difference!!! It feels like your diving a proper stick again!!!

I'm able to feel the engagement of the clutch like I'm used to and i drive much more smoothly then i have since first buying the Z. I didn't really notice anything was wrong before taking the OEM spring off, i just thought i was still getting used to the car.

I highly recommend this!!!

Tackled a few things today.

I was driving close by to Stillen today, so i decided to stop by and see if they carried the PasswordJDM shift knob in red in stock. They don't, so i grabbed some grounding wires instead.

I also received my 40th Anniversary Build Number Badges this morning!!!

So I put those on after the grounding wires.

They fit great and look great! Ordered them Monday, and came in Saturday, packed very well so they would not bend or get scratched. Thanks DarkPath

And lastly, I tried to fix a rattle from the hatch that i've been having when my car sits in the sun all day at work.

After reading http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...what-heck.html

i took my upper hatch apart, took the weight/dampener? off, made a foam type gasket of sorts, and put the weight/dampener back on by cranking the hell out of the bolts.

I'll update next week about the rattle going away or not. Hope it works!!!

UPDATE: still rattling from hatch area! Damn.
