Got that camera mount in today (the one RCZ linked: http://www.the370z.com/intake-exhaus...html#post69620 ).

That thing is a beast, really well made. I stuck it on the inside of my car mounted to the rear glass when I went out for lunch today, worked perfect. Not gonna post any footage from today, most of it was totally uninteresting :) But it really does mount well, and I'll go shoot something worthy with it later in the week.

Got a box from CZP today, brake stuffz. Probably won't get installed for another week or so, need to coordinate with a friend. Swapping fluid solo is a total PITA, better to have two sets of hands.

I ordered the rotors today, if I get them before next weekend I will see if they handle the heat any better than the stock ones do.

I've never used them before, but now that you mention it, it's tempting. I remember another thread someone mentioned part# SB1010 from speedbleeder.com. Do we know for sure these work with the Sports brake setup on the 370, or is it just a guess so far?

For the record, Travis is the one that mentioned them with the part number ;)

I haven't verified fitment, but CZP did quote those for me... they may know for sure

SB1010 is the correct one for the Sport Calipers. Not sure on the non-sport, haven't played with those yet.

Awesome! Its such a good mount, I drove with it attached to my door on the outside at 90+ on the highway untethered :) Did I mention I have accident insurance on the camera? ;)

Was that temperature, speed or both?

Over in the Takeda intake thread, intake temps were brought up again (about shielding the intake from hot things like the radiator hose), and that reminded me to hurry up and get busy on shielding my Stillen setup (parts been laying around forever). So I did that tonight.

I used Thermo-Tec's intake air tube shield. I bought two of them. You could probably almost get away with just a single one if you cut everything perfect the first time, but I used the extra to do lots of trial and error on cutting and fitting around the MAS blocks and the breather tubes:

I also used some 2" DEI Cool Tape to seal things up at the top by the throttle bodies, since the thermo-tec shield has a hard time with that final bend into the TB:

It's really a pretty easy job, took about 1.5 hours start to finish to do some initial measuring, test-cut some peices, adjust and recut some new peices based on those, install everything, lace it up, put on the DEI tape up at the top, etc. I did this with the intake installed, so the shielding stops at the radiator support holes (no shielding on the tube sections under the bumper). Obviously I did it in two peices on each tube, one peices for the upper tube, and one for the lower. It's much easier that way, and the silicone elbows are probably already reasonably resistant to heat, or at least won't trap and transmit it like the metal tubes do.

I should probably go back at some point and (a) put some DEI tape around those MAS blocks, since they're the only exposed intake tube metal in the bay now, and (b) shield the part of the tubes that's under the bumper next time it's off, to keep some of the radiant heat from the radiator off of them.

You had mentioned measuring your intake air temperature before, were you able to do any comparison before/after?

Most of the insulation is post-MAS, so post-sensor. I doubt I'd see much difference in behavior. Maybe later once the front parts under the bumper are shielded up too.
