The problem is that the software and the netbooks are still a little buggy. The netbooks seem to crash on a regular basis and have to be rebuilt, reinstalled.
I think you're right and that ChaseCam is the way to go for now.
Chasecam split screen works well, and you can use more than 2 cameras... video/data integration is automatic if you buy the full system (about $2K new)... talk with Sharif at Forged if interested... here's a vid of split screen
