Do you have pictures of the sensor's location, or can you describe its location? To melt, it must be located externally, close to an exhaust component...

Until someone fabs a stainless steel or Tungsten C/S pos snsr: Muffler repair kit includes "asbestos" wrap and high-temp adhesive. I used it to protect my Ninja's rubber radiator hose from the evil Bassani race pipe! Available at Checker/AutoZone for $6.

You might want to give Fontana Nissan a call and ask for Chris who works on the race cars. Don't know his last name. Mention the blue race car and they'll get you to him.

He said it was a poor design and he also said he was going to shield it for me. He's a great guy who loves what he does. I'm sure he'll help you out.
