Do you have pictures of the sensor's location, or can you describe its location? To melt, it must be located externally, close to an exhaust component...

The only U.S.A.-available Mobil1 oil that is BMW LL01 is 0W-40...most of M1's engine oil is hydrocracked/GIII junk.

You might want to give Fontana Nissan a call and ask for Chris who works on the race cars. Don't know his last name. Mention the blue race car and they'll get you to him.

He said it was a poor design and he also said he was going to shield it for me. He's a great guy who loves what he does. I'm sure he'll help you out.
