Travis, is Redline still going to be working on a brake duct kit? No rush but I plan on doing that this winter, so if Redline decides to make a kit for it that would be fantastic. I think I've sold myself on the AP racing brakes as well, I'm sick of the problems with the stock brakes.

They are definitely building a 'kit' for my car, so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't resell it to you all. I'll ask Robert at Redline... and if he's monitoring this thread, he can respond

I wish... my mechanic has had the car for three weeks, and he recently wrote me to say that he has some kind of sickness that has kept him out of his shop... nothing I can do about it right now... it will really suck if my car is not ready for my next event... depressed

Our first track day was at Button Willow for the Super Lap Battle where we took second with a 2:00 time on a completely stock motor. The car had cannards on it with our splitter and our wing with a KW suspension. We just finished the Red Line Time Attack at Cal Speedway and took second again behind a more powerful 370 Z...him 1.55.5.....us 1.55.6. Tires NT05's 285/35/18's squared with spacers using BrakeMan brakes. If you're looking for down force or suspension needs we can help as well. We're in Calif. I can't wait to see your final package as that's the direction we're headed. We should have a supercharger on the car soon. We're a race shop only for fabrication and suspension needs. Maybe you've heard of us, ROBISPEC. Awesome thread by the way with great detail! We'd love to help you achieve your goals!! |

Already have a custom-made cross-member that my cage fab guy built. We are working on a custom front splitter as well... would LOVE to see pictures of how you set yours up!!! Feel free to post here. Congrats on your successes so far! Sounds like you came in just behind Paul at AE??? How do you like the square tire setup ? I thought about doing that but ruled it out b/c I feared it would throw the balance off and create too much oversteer. Also, can you share which supercharger you are pursuing ? Rgds |

Thanks for the invite to post I LOVE THIS THREAD
hows this look for how to keep the car nailed down with some sexy functonal aero? Note the "sub sacrificial splitter " (white) bonded to the carbon honeycomb one. the bolts you see are bolted directly to a subframe we built which is bolted to the chassis. You will need to drill and tap 4 holes in the bumper beam and 2 in the front aluminium core support subframe..easy mods if you know how to use a power drill ;-) On the "square setup" if you do it right it can be very forgiving...we were the only 370 with the throttle pinned through 1&2 at AAA speedway...(at least the other 370's said they were needing to "breath" the throttle a bit) We had the least WHP and the most Aero (= drag) so this might have been why I could be so "brave" in 1&2 (but as a chassis setup shop I want to believe it was due to the superior setup!) as we were the slowest entry speed of the 4 370's (but the fastest exit speed) got to love cheap radar speed detectors.
