I've been looking at it...I think it may be the easiest thing we can do if we need a LOT more cooling. If we don't need much more then a bigger single core would be the best choice.

I've decided to go forward with the second core...

Did you purposely leave off the bracket between the cats as pictured below:

*EDIT*

Just realized you have Stillen HFC's, i guess they don't come with mounting points for the bracket.

Seems as though DDM left this bracket off (pic below). Is it needed? Wouldn't it help rigidity?

The second photo is halfway through the install as you can tell because one of the cats is still off the car. The bracing is re-used with the Berks.

I guess my eyes aren't too good after midnight, i didn't even notice a cat was missing. haha.

Updated project list... coilovers arrived, should be installed next week or two along with JWT clutch and flywheel... Other parts / projects next couple weeks will be done by Redline for me. Once I get it back, I will install the Traqmate and Chasecam and take those with me to next event. Summer is slow season in AZ for track, so hope to make it out to Vegas or CA for an event or two. Will be interesting to see if I can stuff 4 wheels/tires in the car for the trip ! Maybe if I ditch the passenger seat...

Anyone want me to post pictures of the BC Racing ER coilovers ?

NOTE: FORGESTAR WHEELS ACTUALLY LATE JUNE...

I do! Since I didn't even think to take pics of my own lol.

Up'ing pics of my new BC Racing ER Series with external reservoir and secondary pistons. Will have these installed soon, but for now we can all enjoy the pics !

They were shipped direct to me from the factory in Taiwan and arrived Thursday. Directions are minimalistic but clear. Every component on these seems to be top notch and designed for some serious hours and conditions. The last set of coilovers I bought were Bilstein PSS9- these appear to be of the same quality or better. My understanding is that these are serviceable and factory rebuildable. Compression and rebound adjustment both front and back. Ride height and pre-load adjustable!

Are those metric Elmo units or standard?

Pics look great! Can't wait for you to bolt them up and take it to the track.

travisjb 05-10-2009 09:14 AM

Me too ! Potential track event next weekend, not sure I'll have it done by then - we'll see.

miguez 05-10-2009 02:11 PM

Great shots Travis, but how big is an Elmo?

They do look to be of great build quality. Are the adjustments for compression and rebound separate?

Thanks,

travisjb 05-10-2009 05:34 PM

Elmo is 18 metric tonnes and about 12" high

Yes, separate adjustments

This thread always cracks me up with your miniature parts...

Coils look good man, they actually do look like excellent quality.

travisjb 05-10-2009 09:20 PM

So that means you're switching from KW V3s ??? :D
