Didn't make sense to me either... Burn's rep claimed it would at most impact whp by 2-3 vs straight pipes, based upon many dyno runs their customers have done...

A few updates

1. thanks BC Racing NA for overnighting / expediting the rear spring perch adapters for my swift racing springs! those guys went above/beyond to get me ready for this weekend!

2. car has new interior paint as of today.. we went with satin finish House of Kolors Metallic Dark Gray... has some metal flakes in it and should contrast nicely with nissan brilliant silver

3. will be hitting Spring Moutain this weekend and will update after the weekend

4. Redline Motorsports of Tempe, AZ, one of my sponsors, unfortunately went out of business this week... the proprietor, Robert Boreham, will be taking over as lead of the service business within Evolution Motorsports... for those of you that follow autoblog, you'll see some coverage of one of the bad-*** cars that Robert will be looking after here First Drive: The Gumpert Apollo is a near-mythological, utterly fantastical beast — Autoblog

Hey Travis - I know you had faced issues with fuel cut on hard turns - I was low on gas and hit a daily freeway on-ramp kinda spirited and experienced it for the first time. All systems went off - no power steering / brakes / etc - waited on AAA to get me some gas - Did you ever figure out a way around this? I mean I can always keep my gas over 1/2 tank but I don't feel I should :) Any advise is much appreciated - oh and your ride is coming along very nicely!

there is a fairly active thread on this board where a new vendor is talking about building an 'in tank surge pump' or something to that effect... i will be going that route... I get fuel cut out with just 2 bars down on sticky tires... have to keep it literally topped off! it was a problem today at Spring Mountain in Nevada

Back from Spring Mountain in Nevada... wish I had video to share! we had a blast up there, however, unfortunately for some reason my chasecam didn't tape... too bad b/c I had some great moments sliding around corners in my last session... we were running the 3.1 mile clockwise configuration with Speed Ventures and best time was 2:36.443 with a theoretical best time across sessions of 2:33.92.

For anyone considering this track, I'd give it a 9/10 ! Very fast, plenty of entertaining turns with good run-off areas if you over-cook (however, beware of rocks off track and tortoises crossing the track!)... affordable and very well appointed lodging on premise, including raquetball courts and swimming pool... the facility owners are going to add another three miles in the near future fyi

I love that track! I did the Corvette driving school there.

M.Bonanni 05-17-2010 10:52 AM

Yes very fun track indeed. :)

Here are 2009 RTA results for Spring Mountain... based upon the mods to my car, I would be in 'modified rwd'... not competitive with my friend Jeremy's time... this is a good indication that I need to avoid RTA ! lol
