NIce! Great drop in lap time! That's on the "big" track, correct?

travisjb 05-03-2010 05:07 PM

yessir, the "big" one

Nice work, you might have to start to take this up professionally judging by your improvements.

travisjb 05-04-2010 12:25 AM

haha, thanks, but in my dreams... would need about 1,000 more hours of seat time for that... a year!

Nice Work Travis

Good driving Travis!

Dyno tuning results! good results, but still a mixed bag...

The top line is with the muffler completely removed... I had no idea that the Burns muffler was that restrictive... I'm a bit surprised... I may end up just running a straight pipe as a result of this

BIG THANKS TO TIM AT XACT DYNO! I'll be going back there again once UpRev increments the software to include valve and cam adjustments

New BC Racing coilovers went in today! 18Kg/m front and 16Kg/m rear springs!!! it's going to be a brick... Having the original set boxed up with <10 hours of drive time on them! Going to make someone a great deal

Car goes to paint tomorrow (scoops, interior)... unless someone has a better idea, we're going to go with something like Nissan's matte gray metallic (AG03), but a few shades darker

Dibs! Were the original the standard BC spring rate for the Z?

How does it sound with no muffler?

travisjb 05-11-2010 02:43 PM

ungodly loud!

Sharif@Forged 05-11-2010 03:23 PM

Nice work Travis. Can you tell us what the three power levels are indicative of.

travisjb 05-11-2010 03:36 PM

lower is baseline with "current setup"

middle is after tune with "current setup"

top is after tune with "current setup + muffler delete"

current setup includes Stillen G3 long tube CAI, Stillen shorty headers, cat-delete, burns stainless single muffler, underdriven pulley, and a/c delete

So about 8-10whp without muffler? That's very surprising with that very free flowing muffler you are running. I would have expected almost no change.
