I see Robi has already responded and he's much more capable than I to share what we're doing. It's always refreshing to compare info between fellow racers with a common goal in mind.....to be very fast AND safe! Thanks for the invite as well Travis and best of luck with your build  Z06Stan ;) |

All, with somewhat scaled back ambitions / expectations, I will be running in my local NASA TT event this weekend... stock steering, no rear diff cooling, etc... but the car should be a go!
Thanks to Junior at Fathead Fab for stepping up to help me get ready! So far, he's already managed to get the computer situation figured out (there was a disconnected throttle position sensor)... now need to do some final tweaks on seat, replace oem steering assembly, mount new side mirrors and add back in requisite safety equip Will have an updated weight to report next weekend! Robi and Stan... the front splitter looks perfect ! if you have the time and inclination would love to see more pics of how you constructed and attached the 'sub frame' and what materials you used etc. Okay to post here or start a new thread. Also, I'm definitely in for updates on the SC! :) |

Great news on your end by the way and best of luck at the races Travis  Keep us posted on your race results. Which mirrors did you go with? That's on our list as well. We should have the OS Geiken (sp?) diff in this week with the cooler. Right Robi :icon17: Z06stan |
Robi folks, I too would be interested in purchasing a splitter
|
hey stan, the mirrors are generic AP Racing side mirrors... we will affix them to custom polycarb window fairings that occupy the front 1/4 - 1/3 of the side windows... not sure exactly how it will turn out - junior's working on it this week

Good work fellows! Travis, good to hear you'll get to run it this weekend an feel out the new mods.
Sooner or later you're gonna need a truck and a trailer to get that thing around - lol |

yes, you're right about the trailer... trying to postpone that as long as possible, but eventually I won't have a choice... hard to keep a car like this street'able |
Hope you at least get to try it out this weekend. It will be good to see how it's coming together...

up till 2am last night, got everything working except when i got to the track this morning, couldn't get the brakes and turn signals to work ! so now i'm home... going to nap a couple hours then try and figure out what's wrong... it's not the lights themselves (tested)... not the brake position sensor (tested... and turn signal doesn't work either, nor hazards)... not a blown fuse (looked)... i am getting voltage coming off the brake position indicator (on when brake NOT applied), but haven't traced it to see where it goes and why things don't work after that... any ideas would be greatly appreciated, ie if someone has studied the wiring diagram... will check in after nap :)

so... I did something stupid... Decided to get aggressive and de-pin the main harness behind the panel... I forgot to mark on of the branches going to the primary gauge cluster and ended up de-pining that one !!!! ... It's fubar and I'm going to have to order an entire new harness... I'm certain it's going to cost a crap-load... if anyone knows a dealer that can hook me up, please drop me a PM.............. UPDATE: I'm looking for the 'Main Harness' which is Nissan Part # 24010-Z34006
FYI, car with driver and full tank of gas weighed in at 3260 yesterday... that'd be sub-3,000 without driver and fuel, and after roll cage and all accessories installed... and it is BEFORE removing A/C equip... I'm expecting that to be another 40 or so pounds... we'll crown the victor of the weight guessing contest after a/c is removed and car is back in working order |
Oh snap...I wasn't too far off then lol
|

not declaring a victor until we get the a/c out and I weight it with 3/4 tank of fuel, but looking like DannyGT right now... won't have the answer for a couple weeks, unfortunately because I'm now waiting on a wiring harness before we do anything else ! |
