sfearl1 03-08-2012 07:07 PM

i vote TT the Z and keep it. would be a disgrace to tear it down and sell it at this point.

tomnavone 03-08-2012 07:08 PM

Just go turbo and call it a day:tup:

While the c63 is pimp, to me it's more of an old man car. The Z is super sexy and yours is beyond even that. Keep, ride, enjoy...:driving:

864Zbeast 03-08-2012 09:35 PM

If my z looked like yours I would keep man! But ya know it's up to you, and whatever you choose is gonna be fine!

honestly i thought of it, if i can't get rid of the car for the price i want, i'll just keep it and throw on a stage 2 tt kit from gtm this summer. but that's only if i can't sell it by this summer lol.

My new car has about 440whp 475tq at the wheel and I ran Into a brand new c63 amg yesterday. That car is F'n gorgeous. He has a 2012 in black. Such presence on the road and it sounds amazing. Bone stock they are 12.3ish with an extra passenger mine was a little quicker but looking at mbworld I see that a set of long Tubes and tune they get Into the 11s pretty effortlessly and you can prob keep your warranty.

IMO the Benz isn't an old mans car AT ALL it's F'n sick but it's expensive and if you own your z and did all this work it wouldn't be worth it to scratch it now. I'd TT it if your going to lose twice what it would cost to turbo your Z in the deal.

Either car is F'n sick. That decision can only be made by you.

I change my mind way too much, selling this car is way too troublesome -____-

Has anyone done any research into the STS turbo systems? I think I may want to try this out ? IDK. Still trying to do some research.

kinda thinking of going with this. lol

The idea of the STS kit is good and they have said they might do a twin turbo version in the future. The only issue I see for you is how low your car is, the kit does sit low in the rear and it is vital parts which you don't not scrapping.

Actua after Installing a few it's just as low as a stock exhaust. I was really surprised to see how much clearance it has.

Might be but Calvin's car is slammed and having the turbine and piping in the rear that low is asking for a problem at some point.

sfearl1 03-18-2012 06:25 PM

is the left tail pipe on the STS kit an intake?

Yeah, that has been something that I've been thinking of is how low it hung from the car. But I've been told by Jamaica that it doesn't hang as low it's actually as low as the stock exhaust system itself. I'm still going to do a bit more research, my exhaust now hangs pretty low . I don't really have much problems with it hitting or scraping so I should probably be fine with the STS if it is the same as the stock exhaust!
If I do go with this build, more likely my car won't be slammed anymore haha.
No point being slammed anymore if I can't drive the car to it's full potential with the kit =) haha

Haha, I'm sure Jamaica will be able to answer that =)

Haha you're welcome to go to Speedelement !

For body work I go to TNT AutoBody in Sacramento
For parts I go to Speedelement in Fremont !

Alexshen1 03-20-2012 11:21 PM

Thanks for the fast reply

My question is, why not go to one shop for all purpose? I ask because I had a car accident yesterday with my Z, my driver side wheel is crooked, I was not able to drive straight while holding the steering wheel normally, and that would be a car body problem. After that accident I told myself might as well put on amuse bumper instead of getting another OEM one, and that's considered "parts".

So do you recommend me to go to sac fix my car up then hit up fremont for the bumper?

Thanks for your time really haha

One pipe should be the turbine exit (exhaust) and the other should be a atmospheric wastegate dump tube. The left tail pipe will only flow when the wastegate hits it spring pressure, or if there is a boost controller, whatever the boost controller is set to.

The Intake is tucked up high near the back bumper

haha, if you want you can order your parts before you do anything, but amuse kit takes about 3 months or so to get here if it's not in stock.
