Nice list of mods man. I have been looking at those PLX gauges for a few weeks too. I can't wait to see the results. Looks like its going to be an amazing car when all is said and done..there isnt a single mod there I wouldnt get. I would add sway bars and a front SPL camber kit though :)
|
Thanks! Yeah, I'm working on getting a clutch as well as those above listed but I've invested a lot of money already so I'll take it easy for now. I still gotta pay to ship it to Hawaii @_@

How-To put on TE37 SL stickers
Just because I’m horrible with everything and anything dealing with stickers, putting on the sl stickers on expensive new volks was a huge challenge for me. So here is what I did and hopefully it will help anyone who is in the same position that I am.
First thing’s first…. get your new wheels. see mine isn’t opened yet! http://www.project-definition.com/br...73-900x600.jpg Let's open them! http://www.project-definition.com/br...75-900x600.jpg Looks ******* plain and boring http://www.project-definition.com/br...77-900x600.jpg Here’s what we’ll be sticking on http://www.project-definition.com/br...78-900x600.jpg Get your supplies. Scissors & some tape. The screw driver and 14mm is for the valve stem. We don’t need to worry about that. http://www.project-definition.com/br...74-900x600.jpg Cut the excess white portion of the sl sticker so it’s easier to work with. http://www.project-definition.com/br...79-900x600.jpg Place onto the wheel how you want it. Looks about right… http://www.project-definition.com/br...81-900x600.jpg Tape the narrow end onto the wheel like so: http://www.project-definition.com/br...82-900x600.jpg Line up the edge of the other end of the sticker with the half circle to the edge of the bore. Get as close as possible. If your tape end is too short or too long, just reposition it. http://www.project-definition.com/br...84-900x600.jpg Now flip the sticker tape end up http://www.project-definition.com/br...85-900x600.jpg Now cut approx a half inch off the slippery paper so that the transfer paper with the decal is visible. Like so… http://www.project-definition.com/br...86-900x600.jpg Now lay it down with the slippery paper on it and see if you need to make any more final adjustments. http://www.project-definition.com/br...87-900x600.jpg Once you feel confident. Lay it down. No turning back. http://www.project-definition.com/br...88-900x600.jpg Lay some card down. Are you a fan of anna’s? http://www.project-definition.com/br...89-900x600.jpg Peel the transfer paper off. http://www.project-definition.com/br...92-900x600.jpg So legit. http://www.project-definition.com/br...07-900x600.jpg CREDITS: http://www.project-definition.com/br...p=738#more-738 - My brother, Brian's blog. Thanks again! Just in time for me to pickup the first GTM Stage 2 Supercharger 370z Coupe tomorrow =) Again, BIG THANKS TO RAVSPEC (Mark) for the wheels!!!! I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER VENDOR FOR MY WHEELS!   Cheers! |

Gonna look good!!

Car is headed to shipping! I have to thank Sam @ GTM for putting up with my crap =P and my family and friends for watching her. I hear that the Stage 2 is a beast and everyone is amazed on how good it sounds. Sadly there won't be a full review of it until it gets to Hawaii at the end of the month =)
Here are some teaser shots w/ the SLs and MINES rear spoiler: http://www.project-definition.com/an...11/08/zero.jpg |

Dude, this shot is money! Do you know how much you're lowered?

I'm sure once Andrew gets his hands on her...actually he'll have a video out before he drives it....lol
He's super nice with the camera/editing the whole nine... |
^thanks for the kind words and I will have videos up asap! So far, the convertible 370 and G37 haven't really done any videos on the supercharger itself. I'll try to get that done by tonight. In fact, I'll have a grip load of videos this weekend.
With all that said, I'm going to pickup my stage 2 supercharged 370z right now. |

First weekend with the car and boy did I have to do some work on her… I learned about “Plastidip” on the forums and opted to try it out and black out some stuff on my car. http://www.project-definition.com/an...8/rearprep.jpg http://www.project-definition.com/an.../prepfront.jpg ^The front didn’t come out too good so I took it off >_< http://www.project-definition.com/an...rearplasti.jpg http://www.project-definition.com/an...08/peeling.jpg http://www.project-definition.com/an.../08/emblem.jpg ^They came out good! I’ll post some final plasticdip shots later this week as SPOCOM Hawaii rears around the corner… Some more random shots: http://www.project-definition.com/an...08/gtmleft.jpg http://www.project-definition.com/an...8/gtmright.jpg http://www.project-definition.com/an...e37slclose.jpg http://www.project-definition.com/an...8/stancing.jpg Oh and be very careful jacking your car up. Make sure there are objects blocking your tires from moving as mine came out from under… luckily I wasn’t under the car! http://www.project-definition.com/an...8/bentjack.jpg ^lost one of these bad boys… again, make sure to check all your safety angles! |
The nicest yellow 370 in my opinion. Plus, boost is a big help
|
Wow man I bet that was scary. Looks awesome with those skirts!! Get that lip on now! You're gonna be super low..
|
^thanks... lip is incoming. I had the CF one but it flew off. So i bought a hybrid FRP one that will be in tomorrow. A temporary fix for now...
Also, how did you jack up your car when the sideskirts are in the way? I cracked mine already but thank god it's underneath... |
Quote:
I'm sorry if that didn't make much sense lol..that's the best I can explain it. :tiphat: After I got them on I realized the same thing you did. I should have trimmed them a little. :shakes head: |

I know exactly what you mean... I had to pull the jack back to go "over" the material. I guess maybe my jack is not low enough and the jack arm itself is hitting the skirt. Oh well.
|
looks good!
|
My jack had a really small surface so I bought one with a bigger contact patch. It's still sketchy but it works. Lol

^Oh man, that's low... http://www.project-definition.com/an...08/work002.jpg ^working hard, late at night! |
Awesome!
|
what row oil cooler are you running?
|
I love your car :D
|
^i heart ur car
|
Came back from SPOCOM Hawaii... Man, I am not doing that again for a looonnnng time. It's just too tiring. Anways, here are some photos... I have tons more:
http://www.project-definition.com/an...yellowz001.jpg http://www.project-definition.com/an.../08/red001.jpg http://www.project-definition.com/an.../08/girlsz.jpg http://www.project-definition.com/an...29-900x600.jpg http://www.project-definition.com/an...011/08/SLs.jpg |
Car looks sexy. Is it just me or do the side skirts look like a darker shade of yellow?
|
Yeah the bottom part does look a bit darker... Also looking around the entire car, it appears the color is 'off' between the plastic parts and metal parts. A buddy of mine was explaining that the paint reflects a different shade in the metal because of how the chemistry is @_@
I'll redo the sides one day... Or i'll go Amuse :) |
GTM Stage 2 Supercharger Kit Report:
So I've had the car for about 2 weeks now and just giving a quick update to those who are following the build. 1. I pushed the car on Saturday and opened her up next against a Single Turbo G35. Safe to say, that I pulled hard and fast away from the other car. Just wanted to make sure it was fast ;-) 2. Engine noise is pretty loud. You're going to have to turn up your music as the noise is overpowering at times. Something to consider but I don't mind hearing my engine, supercharger, and bypass valve =) 3. Speaking of music, this might be something totally non-related to the SC Kit, but I do experience my audio lowering in volume randomly. Mostly when I'm pushing the gas... Like it doesn't happen everytime, but it does happen enough to notice. Again, maybe totally unrelated. 4. Stock Traction Control. VDC ON. The car compensates and slows the car down when this is on. I have yet to drive it with VDC OFF and am afraid to until I have a wider/open lanes of travel. For this long weekend, I'll create some videos with my GoPro and Canon 60D 5. Fuel rate (MPG). I notice this car eats gas like a Samaon family at a buffet. I find myself looking at the mileage a lot as it drops rather quickly. Safe to say, it's not used to save gas =P Closing comments: Car runs great. SC whine is noticeable once it's completely warmed up. Bypass valve can be heard from far away when pounding it. And it's a head turner for sure... |
