Thanks guys. Seriously, the headlights painted this way is how the 40th Z's should have came.

For those interested, this is what has been done...

- Housing painted Satin black
- turn signal backing Satin black
- Projector backing Satin black
- Projector housing body color KAV (Quartz Gray)
- Turn signal housing body color KAV (Quartz Gray)
- Reflector painted red to match the brakes and seats and taillights
- MR-conversion LED parking lights

370Z JT - They haven't shipped out my fenders yet.

Nitrouz 03-20-2011 03:47 AM

Thanks. Funny thing I just realized... My 370z is a 40th anniversary edition. My 350z was the 35th anniversary edition... Both with their respective anniversary plaques in the interior... Shoulda taken pics of those haha...

waynerzz 03-20-2011 04:57 AM

how's that lip holding up on our Vancouver roads? have you been cleaning the streets? lol

HKYStormFront 03-20-2011 08:02 AM

headlights look great alex!

... now get a freakin' circular polarizer for that lens ASAP! reflections and glare are killin' these pics!

SeeyaBud86 03-20-2011 10:02 AM

I was debating painting that check area of my headlights red too. And I must say, I think you just made my decision. I definitely should with the SL's and the red calipers. Yours look amazing great job man! Can't wait to see the fenders :yum:

definitionxmk 03-20-2011 10:03 AM

Amazing as always! Great to see your old Z is in good hands!

Hope you enjoy anyway.

Sick dude!

Thank you sir. Oh with red brakes and SL's, I'd definitely do the reflector in red.

Thanks bro. It'll probably be done tomorrow. So next week hopefully.

Nitrouz 03-24-2011 07:15 PM

my fenders are clearing customs...should be here tomorrow!

Anyone have tips on how to take off the fenders? Or is it just straight forward bumper off, sideskirts off, bolts off?

KaienZ34 03-24-2011 07:31 PM

I don't know, but when your done maybe a nice DIY with pics is in order. Jam should know some info on what needs to be done.

Hey, at least there aren't any rivets, spot welds, or bonded panels to contend with! I can't wait to see how the fender and wheels look on your 40th.

Well, if the new fenders and wheels aren't making you feel optimistic, you can just drop ship them to me and I will take care of them for you haha.

Bumper for sure, sides I remember you just need from the door side so maybe just loosen then and you can try to squeeze the fenders in and same for the headlight just loose the screws no need or total removal

Its gonna take you about one hour. And it better if you take off the wheel. Your going to have to reinstall the wheel liner.

I would jack the car up. Place is on jack stands if u have it.
Take off both wheels, take off the bumper, and side skirs.
Then your ready to take off the oem fender.
