well CA state law is 25% for the side windows....So that has to be legal....
|
i think you have it mixed up... the lower the percent.. the less light will go through therefore its darker tint..
|
it seems i do....Whoops
|
In CA zero side tint is legal (driver and passenger windows).. rear windows and rear side windows can be.

Thats what i read. |
That is referring to the rear side windows.
CA state law is that the driver and passenger side front window's can not legally have any tint on them at all. With that being said...Every vehicle I've ever owned has been limo. |

i think they can, unless again i am reading this wrong? |

"Must allow more than 70% of light in" - FRONT side windows... hrmmm... it would seem that SOME tint IS in fact legal? But then again.. where is the source that this website is pulling from.. ?? THIS may provide a more in-depth answer... Bottom line: You CAN tint the front sides HOWEVER, you must have a medical reason WITH a note that says it's legal. |
ok but i see tons of cars with tinted windows. Some very dark. Either cops dont care or dont know...
