I thought about the same thing dude. I should have waited until after Z Nationals. Part of me preferred to have it done before I put the wheels on and lowered the car. They were actually on track to finish it yesterday. That bad block put a halt on everything.

I will still be there if I don't have my car. I just will be crying watching everyone else. I may end up driving the 65 Impala to Z Nationals:tup:

damn, that sucks. I'll drive you around the track if you want though.

In the end, having your car back with a good engine will be worth it though.

New Block is In
 

Just spoke to the dealership and learned that my new block is IN. Now it's just a race to the finish to make it to Z Nationals. Let's hope that everything go as planned.

Ahh, I can't wait to see the car with the wheels on!

Hi Buddy, I dropped my car off Monday to get my new short block as well. As you know my car was diagnosed with OC too. 1.9 quarts in 872 miles. I was told it would be ready Friday. Only to be told Wednesday, next week some time. Enjoy the Z Nationals.
