I don't think we should be comparing the stock setup to an AP racing BBK...Its apples to oranges. I've felt GT-R brakes and GT3 RS brakes and Stoptechs and AP's and I know they are leagues better than the stock setup. Granted its partly price and of course I'd be very happy to jump right on the APs, but I am actually interested to see how much can be done with the stock calipers. I'll probably sell the stock BBK and get AP's sooner than later...$$
Installing this weekend: Goodridge SS Brake lines AP Racing Fluid Stillen J-Hook Sport Rotors Stillen Metal Matrix pads After a while I'll be installing Carbotech pads for the track. I will be using temperature strips to see just how hot the brakes are getting. |

yeah, but I am really happy with my $2000 (retail) brembo 6 pot front caliper upgrade. I never boil the fluid anymore and I can brake really really deep into the turns and have confidence the car will stop every time. I paid a lot less since I get wholesale, but even at retail, for the price, its the best upgrade. Uses your stock sport rotors.

Edit: If you get a BBK you can save on weight by losing the spare, since the bigger rotors may not fit that little spare.

haha, yeah the AP's are about the same size as the stock akebonos so it should clear no problem. However, I don't need a reason to get rid of the spare...
I know right off the bat I can take off another 30-40lbs easily by taking out sub, spare, tools, carpets and getting a lighter battery. |

Yeah I'm curious as well.
How much do these weight anyway? I'm opting for some 2pc rotors but they're all super expensive for my budget

4 Reasons. 1) planning on getting bbk someday 2) price-they are much cheaper like $650 vs $1800+ for the 2 piece 3) Wanted to test them out 4) I don't think I need 2 piece rotors yet.
Josh mentioned they were coming out right as I was looking to get some new brake components and it was a done deal. Weight 19lb rear, 29.8lbs front. They aren't much lighter than stock, but they should perform much better due to the J Pattern drilling. |

Great pic RCZ! I like the carbon nismo wing from the front, more so than i did from the rear.
Dont you have AAA? just remove the spare already and you 50lbs diet is over! I got rid of that sucker asap. Now i need to go on a driver diet!
