Yes, I just looked at stillen's. They used STD.

I called the shop to get my STD numbers 445hp/335tq.

That's great. Just wanted to make sure the correction factors are the same so it would be a fair comparison

So final figures are 445whp/335wtq @ 8psi and 93 octane.

Looking GREAT!!....its amazing how much difference you can see dyno vs. dyno....thats why the mustang is the "heart breaker" but I LOVE tuning on her..nothing really compares with Load bearing....

Getting back to the engine bay temps...

I firmly believe that a vented hood would work wonders for our cars. Add a better radiator fan setup and thermostat, and you'll be golden. I was sitting in gridlock traffic for an hour last week in 90F weather and did a little research. Idling with the A/C on gave me oil temps of 215F. The A/C compressor activates the driver's side radiator fan...with the A/C off, only the passenger side fan is normally running. When I turned off the A/C (and the driver's side fan shut down), the engine temps climbed 15F to 230F.

Vented hood and better fans = win

I agree, but having a clean looking vented hood is another story...

Spearfish, I've been thinking about a hood and painting all of it. I think I want to do some testing though. I'm gonna borrow a heat sensor to see how each change I make affects engine bay temps. I'm thinking the following:

- Jet hot coating intake charge pipe
- CryO2 Intercooler Sprayer for Heat exchanger / oil cooler
- Reflective gold foil on manifold / Water reservoir
- Heat shielding to isolate headers
- Oil cooler Fan
- Vented hood

I assume you are going to run the heat sensor before doing anything?
Something else that might be a good idea is to see how the air is flowing off the engine. Using the Mustang as an example the front of the hood is a large area of where the air dumps out, hence why the GT500 and such put the vent there.

I'm very interested to see how that turns out. While the shielding may be helpful for directing or containing radiant heat, my sense is that our engine bay is just too well sealed. While the fans do their best to funnel air in through the radiator, there are no decent exit locations...it's like a fan blowing in the top of a glass jar. Even a hood lift kit (which would look ridiculously stupid) would allow the air to exit at the base of the windshield and probably drop temps substantially. I'd be willing to bet that the shielding doesn't do much until you get the hot air vented out somehow.

how about removing some of the plastic shroud that connects the hood and the winshield? mine is completely removed, as is the wiper assembly, and I suspect it has improved the flow
