Only a couple cars truly rival a GT-Rs performance stock and they are 175k-2.7million. Add alpha performance upgrade packages (anywhere 6 thru 12) to your GT-R and it becomes an unstoppable force on the streets or track. Maintenance on the GT-R isn't bad as long as you take proper care of it, expensive to service and a higher price point but worth every penny when you get behind the wheel and see what you've been missing.
Exactly and what I'm looking for is a great driving experience at a price that is responsible for me at my age. I know the GT-R is much faster in every sense than the M3, but the GT-R will never be quite as rewarding to drive as a N/A RWD well balanced car. I've been in both on the race track and while the GT-R is absolutely mind blowingly fast, the M3 is the drivers car of the two. If money was no object, I would buy both, but somehow I see myself driving the M more often. I honestly don't mind going slower and having more fun...

...and here I thought I was getting old! j/k - like I originally said it's your ride, just be sure to really weigh all options, theres a lot of sweet options out there if your not brand loyal or a speed head like me. I have never driven a car that makes me so excited eveytime I press the "real" GT-R start button. I would disagree in drivability of the M3 being superior to the GT-R, as I have driven both extensively. I work for a dealership, there's not much out there I haven't driven. Chances are if I haven't driven it, I know I'm not missing anything...

Best of luck to you!
