I should have mentioned most shops quote 6hrs though. If I can do my own clutch in 6hrs without ever doing something like that before, I'm confident a shop can do it much faster.

4-5 hours sounds about right.
I just dropped the car off at J Spec Automotive this morning, hopefully parts will arrive this week and I can get it back next week sometime. Either way I plan to get it out to the track soon; whether Jay takes it or I make it up there. Last edited by RCZ; 05-11-2011 at 09:02 PM. |

Though I'd post this for the curious.
Here's the new Competition Clutch F/W going into my car. Its steel and weighs in at around 17lbs. VS. the Fidanza Aluminum FW that weighed in at 15.2lbs. (and is for sale for someone who doesn't care about flywheel rattle) |

Looks like almost everything is in. Its being installed today. We are replacing the CSC because it was failing and clutch bolts as a precaution.
Gearbox taken down, Southbend Stg4 on display. Fidanza Flywheel is out and luckily its almost completely unscathed. Should be good about a little cleaning. More pictures coming later. |
