I should have mentioned most shops quote 6hrs though. If I can do my own clutch in 6hrs without ever doing something like that before, I'm confident a shop can do it much faster.

4-5 hours sounds about right.
I just dropped the car off at J Spec Automotive this morning, hopefully parts will arrive this week and I can get it back next week sometime. Either way I plan to get it out to the track soon; whether Jay takes it or I make it up there. Last edited by RCZ; 05-11-2011 at 09:02 PM. |

Though I'd post this for the curious.
Here's the new Competition Clutch F/W going into my car. Its steel and weighs in at around 17lbs. ![]() VS. the Fidanza Aluminum FW that weighed in at 15.2lbs. (and is for sale for someone who doesn't care about flywheel rattle) ![]() ![]() |

Looks like almost everything is in. Its being installed today. We are replacing the CSC because it was failing and clutch bolts as a precaution.
![]() Gearbox taken down, Southbend Stg4 on display. ![]() ![]() Fidanza Flywheel is out and luckily its almost completely unscathed. ![]() Should be good about a little cleaning. ![]() More pictures coming later. |
