I don't know what the biggest tire is, but I know that there are recommended fitment ranges for each size wheel.

You can use this page Car Bibles : The Wheel and Tyre Bible Page 3 of 4 If you scroll down theres "An ideal rim-width calculator."

Sometimes I just refer to this one too, but keep in mind almost all of it is R888 Specific. Toyo Proxes R888 Road-Race Tire

I don't think he's going to be there chris, if he is I'm def getting a ride in the s/c Z.

I'd like to go!

I know we don't condone street racing here, but I did a random light to light pull with a new Jag XKR..it was roll on and I started in second gear from like 10 mph so I was kinda off the power band, but it was dead even until like 70-80 when we had to let off. I know I shouldve put it down to first, but at least I didnt have to shift. They have a supercharged V8 making 510hp/461tq and a trick drivetrain but weight 400lbs more than me.

tight work, Im sure he was suprised, lol

255/35 was a thought but with the spring drop (1.2) it might drop too much and rub with 20mm spacers.

Hey ZForce,

I think you will be fine with the 255 and those spacers up front. There's plenty of room in those fenders. I would even go 265/285. I think thats

a great combo for the car. Someone had the 265/305 combo on their stock wheels and spacers, but you're gonna have to look it up. Not sure who it

was...maybe repipsa?

Try and get as much tire under the front fenders as possible, this car tends to understeer when you start playing around with bigger rears and

grippier tires.

I have 265/305 right now and haven't had a chance to really put them to the test yet :(

Actually you are dead on with suggesting 265/35/19 & 285/35/19. The 265 is closer to the stock ratio than the 255. And the section width

difference between the two staggered sizes is 0.79, that is better than the stock staggered differences at 1.18.

I am really eye balling the combo you recommend. Can you get up driveways without scraping on your 265's ?

I will have to search on...repipsa

I'm running 275/35 + 295/35 now (on 18x10 + 18x11 wheels though). Forgestar picked the offsets, no spacers involved. My 275's are just a little too wide for the front fender well, but the setup works well (slight oversteer). The 295's fit in the rear just fine though, with a little room to spare. On my wheels, a perfect flush fit taking up all the available room would probably be 265 + 305, but then I think there'd be too much relative grip in the rear and maybe get into understeer.

RCZ 04-19-2011 09:18 AM

ZForce, I'm sure that would be fine! 265/285. I would have gone with that if I didnt need the meat to put down FI power.

275/295 would be great, but Zforce has a 19X9 so personally I think the 275 is too wide for it. Some others will disagree, but there's a reason why tire manufacturers recommend tire sizes to go with wheel sizes. Not to mention he's going to rub over bumps or maybe even full lock.

ZForce 04-19-2011 10:48 PM

RZC, thanks for your feedback, looks like I am gonna pull the trigger on this combo.

^ awesome man, let us know how it goes.

READ if you have a FIDANZA FLYWHEEL or know someone who does!

Hey guys I got a bit of an important announcement for people with Fidanza flywheels. Hopefully it gets enough exposure here.

It has come to my attention that several people (including me) have had the same problem with their Fidanza FW. Apparently contact patch on the bolts that hold it into place is not so good and that's allowing a small amount of play in the fw during high stress driving. That in term loosens the bolts and eventually leads to FW failure. It seems the most common form of failure is shearing of the heads off the bolts.

Has anyone else had this problem??? So far there's 3 or 4 people JUST in FL with the same problem. We are contacting Fidanza to get some info!

JWT is made by Fidanza, but it seems the specs may be slightly different. We are still getting info about that.
