Rears weigh 21.3lbs which is around 2.5lbs lighter than stock rear. Fronts weigh 20.6 which is 2.6lbs lighter than the stock. Not bad for being a half inch wider. New lugnuts weigh a bit less than 1/4lb per corner vs 3/4lb per corner of the stock lugnuts.
That adds up to 10.2lbs for wheels and 2lbs for lugs for a total of 12.2lbs. Now I've heard estimates as to what that translates to in sprung weight. Usually you multiply by 4X. So thats ~50lbs of weight from the stock setup for half inch wider all around EDIT: ALSO Stock tires weigh: Front Stock Bridgestone RE050A (245/40/19): 29lbs (13.15kg) Rear Stock Bridgestone RE050A (275/35/19): 33lbs (14.97kg) The setup I want to run: RE-11 265/35/19 - 29lbs RE-11 305/30/19 - 32lbs That is an additional weight saving of 2lbs even though the tires are 20mm and 30mm wider. RCZ,
I was reading your review of the Stillen SC kit. Do you still have it installed and is everything still going well? I have one on the way to my local tuner in the Denver area along with the CBE and tranny cooler to be installed on my G37S. I will be getting a custom tune. Was just wondering how your setup is working as there is a lot of negative posting regarding the kit. Thanks, Dave |

Yes still installed and going as perfectly as the day I got it tuned. So far I've had less issues than I was expecting from going FI. In fact the only small issue that I have with the car is being caused by the SRM not playing nicely with my lightweight flywheel / crank pulley. Revs kinda randomly when coming out of gear, and then bounces off idle a couple times then stabilizes. Its a little annoying, but I understand that the system isnt made to be driving around town at 20mph.
So no, nothing negative to report here as of yet. No soot on my bumper, no weird noises, no detonation that I'm aware of and no heat problems. |

I should have been more specific. Also, forgot I was on the previous page when I posted. I meant gorgeous (or Georgeous) wheels, to RCZ.
