RCZ 12-13-2010 10:37 PM

Oh and obviously that was filmed on a track.

JB1 12-13-2010 10:46 PM

Finally, a decent video of a FI Z accelerating from the view point of the speedo. Nice RCZ!

I'll get more of them later.

Thanks JB1!

Wow this is amazing ! Good work RCZ !! Can't wait to see more!
I basically just went through the 78pages just now!

RCZ 12-22-2010 06:50 PM

haha you're very welcome. I've had fun doing it!

On that note...got some new mods coming in in a week, I told you guys I'd start shedding pounds off the car ;)

-45lbs may not sound too exciting, unless of course that's all unsprung rotational mass. :driving:

And I still got a good amount of inertia to remove after this.

ChrisSlicks 12-22-2010 07:46 PM

Did you get the Stillen/AP Racing brake kit? I think I only saved about 20 lbs of rotating mass, the rear hats are steel.

JB-370z 12-22-2010 09:18 PM

So did you get the AP brakes??? You will like em' but they squeak alot!

RCZ 12-23-2010 03:19 AM

Nope, not yet. That drop in weight is from my current setup, not from stock... from stock the drop is about -15lbs. I think I have another 25lbs or so of unsprung rotational weight to drop after that (from stock) without getting the AP BBK.

Should pull the trigger man, they are on monster sale ATM, prices won't get better than this.

Do you know how heavy the rotors from the AP kit are?

I weighed them at the time but can't find my notes right now so from memory the fronts were roughly 10 lbs lighter at around 20 lbs, the rears were almost the same maybe 1-2 lb lighter than stock.

Not sure I have those numbers either.. might have to weight them. But yes, the rear hats aren't aluminum as to not be worn by the e-brake..
