lol what was your HP gain in total mine was 125 HP.

shumby 06-18-2010 03:51 PM

sam no from what i understand the mustang and dyno jet are off in a linear scale so the delta's would remain the same but the actual numbers would be lower on the Mustang.

Rig Engineer you said?

Haha, this ^

Units of HP are treated differently by both dynos, therefor the units of change will not be the same across the two.

RCZ 06-18-2010 03:52 PM

Yes, but 125whp on a dynojet is not the same as 125whp on a mustang. That's what Im trying to get at and what Sam explained above. You should have made something like 160whp to match my 125whp gain.

shumby 06-18-2010 03:54 PM

ok i get ya. what is the accepted % the the mustng and dynojet differ by.

RCZ 06-18-2010 03:59 PM

Lol what are you trying to get at? I hope you're not trying to say that you at 6psi almost made the same power I did at 8psi because that will open up a can of worms you don't want to open right now.

Shumby, stop whining and making excuses and put that smaller pulley on!

shumby 06-18-2010 04:05 PM

LOL i have seen tony's thread for the first time. this is disapointing. We were both talking to eachother off the record. I am not impressed that he posted this. there is more to the story

He can't though. CFM is king when it comes to making power. You can't keep adding boost because CFM goes up to dangerous levels. The killer isn't PSI, its CFM...
You can't put on a 8psi pulley and make 4 psi and then fix it by putting in a 16psi pulley and make 8psi. The motor will blow from the CFM. I think you can get away with a 10psi pulley on the motor, but that would put it too close to the limit for my liking.

Not to mention the fact that I think 10psi pulley is out of the efficiency range of his SC housing? I may be totally wrong, but I thought thats why there were different stages for the GTM sc.

shumby 06-18-2010 04:10 PM

I only have the 6 PSI pully on right now. I still have one more pully to go.

RCZ 06-18-2010 04:17 PM

Oh ok, thats good to hear.

As I said, I'm trying to look for a local dynojet to see how much I will put down on that. If I do, I'll post so we can compare something a *little* more concrete.

Man all this "off the record" talk is what turns the whole thing into a bunch of BS lol

When you start a thread to update, people expect updates.. Don't just go MIA for a week then come back claiming LTHs were a fail with the SC when there's "more to it"

RCZ 06-18-2010 04:29 PM

Now now Sam, don't :stirthepot: with Shumby on my thread, go do it on his :bowrofl:

I'm staying out of this one.

shumby 06-18-2010 04:32 PM

no there is no more to the LTH fail with GTM SC. that is fact. Fact also is the GTM's TP's also fail with the SC. There is bad blood here and I wll not get in the middle of it. I did not go missingfor a week i was driving back home and took one day off. so don't even go there. all issues I had with my car are posted and can be talked about. I will hide nothing that i know about personally. It is just too bad that the shops down there in cali cannot get along a bit better and help each other out. It would make things better for all of us.

shumby 06-18-2010 04:33 PM

Sorry RCZ had to reply.

On a side note you going to the track anytime soon. I want to do a fw 1/4 mile runs to see what I can do. I don't expect much as I have never done a drag race before on a real track
