Not overly great, but from your earlier dynos the car seemed to run pretty damn well to begin with.

Semtex, with regards to your "dream" factory tune mentioned earlier... When you installed your intakes, you probably took the battery leads off. And the ECU did its "re-learn". Was your base-line dyno result (the one that compares to this last one), the one that you considered the "factory" tune?

There is a good reason why I'm asking this. I'm not trying to put your results down, but my dyno was similar to yours. I had results in the 310whp range with HFC's, CBE, and CAI (no ECU tune). I've never posted my results here because of the "back-lash effect". I'm sure you know what I mean.

Anyways, I'm just trying to see if my car also was "gifted" with the dream factory tune and thus, the bigger whp numbers.

Well, the 311.9 figure you see above was pre-tune. So it was the pre-tune baseline, aka the "factory tune." Glad to hear you're making good numbers too. What kind of dyno did you use, if you don't mind me asking?

A Mustang dyno. Done at HP Solutions here in Edmonton back in late July. Well, I still won't post my official results here, but I do feel much better seeing your numbers being almost the same as mine.

Edit: I did not do a baseline pull since my bolt-ons were installed at the dealership when they did the PDI. So I had no numbers for comparason purposes.

Yeah, based on the similarity in our mods and dyno numbers (Dyno Dynamics and Mustang dynos read very close to each other), I'd say you probably have one of the "dream factory tunes," as you put it. lol I wouldn't be shy about posting your results. 310whp on a Mustang is really good. In fact, I think that's what RCZ is sitting at right now. So we actually have consistency between three cars!

Yeah, it seems that full bolt on's will get you around 310whp on this car... I think with a tune we should all be around the 320whp range (Mustang Dyno numbers)

I'll get mine tuned the moment you guys figure out whats up with those coldstart issues.

Semtex and others, any news on UpRev and any updates or is what they have produced the final revision?

I haven't heard anything. Been wondering myself, actually.

Wow, that was definitely a surprise...we need to cheer up this thread a little, that's one horrible way of starting out your day.

I've seen more people on the side of the road then I would like to admit, one of the reasons I really don't ride crotch rockets anymore. Ortega Hwy took its fair share of lives, I'm sticking with 4 wheels from now on.

Got an email from Uprev about VVEL:
Quote:
VVEL control isn't something people are going to want to jump into. If you break anything in the VVEL system, expect to spend $10k+ with Nissan as they are the single and only source for those parts. They only sell VVEL parts as a pair of complete head assemblies. So if anything breaks your minimum out of pocket expense is $10k+
Looks like they view VVEL as a non-seller and potentially a high risk part of tuning.
