I installed the GTSpec 4-point Ladder Subframe Brace this afternoon. Many thanks to DDMotorsports for great service, as well as for the installation DIY (http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...der-brace.html).
![]() The installation took me about 45 minutes, and it went without a hitch. I haven't had a chance to go out for a drive yet, but I'll update this post with driving impressions tomorrow after I get a chance to drive. For now, I will post the following photo of the brace laid out on my awesome quilt, as a gesture of brotherhood with RCZ. ![]() ![]()

Nice ! I suspect you won't feel a dramatic difference - looking forward to hearing your impressions driving under different conditions
I should get mine this week... Not that it really matters, but thought these were going to be in blue ??? |

![]() In fact, just compare these two pics I took of the brace. Looks gray in this one: ![]() But you can see how it's more blue in this one: ![]()

I accept the quilt.
Also, awesome, go for a drive....find a steep driveway and see if you feel any difference! you should feel less flex and your windshield will explode. I really want one of these, but I have priorities hehe. Last edited by RCZ; 05-12-2009 at 08:16 PM. |

Yeah, but the procedure is a little trickier. Find a nice sharp little hill in a section of road, get up to about 80-90mph, keep the revs up high. Just before you crest, nail the gas again for weight transfer to the rear of the car. You should be able to get all 4 wheels clear of the pavement. If the dropoff on the other side is significant enough, that ladder brace should be the first thing to impact when your suspension flattens, and it will undergo some shapeshifting

Okay, quick update on the brace. I did get a chance to go out for a drive this afternoon. As expected, I couldn't really feel much difference unless I did some hard cornering. I took some twisty back roads, and there's one spot that's a hard switchback (hard left immediately followed by hard right). That's where I could really feel a difference. I'm not surprised. Our cars have pretty good rigidity out of the box. I think where we'll benefit from this brace the most is at the track and on mountain runs.

LMAO at the bedspread and the color thing.
GTSPEC's color is a mix of blue paint and gray paint. I usually see it more blue, so I call it blue. Some aparently see it more gray.

Well, take it up with Mike. He says that GTSpec only uses one paint color for all their parts. This is the first thing I've ever bought from GTSpec, so I dunno.
