It's equipped with Sports Package and splash guards from factory. For those aren't sure what's included in a sports package, I'll list the items here:
Quote:

I think they usually put one in the back, that's it but since it's their first 370Z sale, they got a little carried away I guess!

Probably tint first and then may be a nice 2 DIN nav system. Hoping to go to Milleville track for Road course in the summer maybe.

haha :icon17:Possible. I wasn't expecting the car until mid March but they were able to locate one on the truck with exactly my options. It's a great color. I get positive feedback everywhere I go.

I absolutely love this instrument panel

Me too! Every time I see pics of the MB, I like it more and more. I was going to go PG, but now dunno..Nice pix Kaiser and congrats.

theDreamer 03-15-2009 12:25 PM

I was stuck on those two also, but am leaning towards PG more. I would rather see the darker blue they had on older models.

Showstoppers 03-15-2009 05:16 PM

Wow, amazing color AK !

I was messing around with my Canon point and shoot and found this cool mode of taking pictures. It's called "Color Accent". Here's how they turned out. NO photoshop was involved (except adding my s/n on the image)

Please discuss these pictures here: http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...res-share.html

Heh, I know the mode you're trying to use - I have my on my Canon too, AK. But, I think you're using it a little wrong, unless you WANTED to ignore the actual color of the car :). You need to make sure to actually highlight the blue on the body. Once you do that, it'll ignore everything else thats a non-shade of blue, and the blue comes out. Here's some examples that Ive done:

http://images46.fotki.com/v1444/phot...onDC012-vi.jpg
http://images47.fotki.com/v1455/phot...2009016-vi.jpg
http://images45.fotki.com/v1481/phot...2009015-vi.jpg

Didnt mean to whore up your thread, but if you intended to get the blue and only the blue, just making sure ya knew you had to pick the color through the viewfinder first!

dlmartin81 04-02-2009 07:41 PM

AK, I'm diggin the 40% tint.

That's an odd percentage though. Most places only 5, 15 30-35% and then like 70 something. I think your 40 looks nice. I need to find a shop that offers it.

Very happy with the 40%. At night time, it looks even nicer. Doesn't give off the "blacked out" ghetto look. Very classy. I would recommend anyone to get this hue.

Yes, it does look classy. I actually just found a place near me that offers 40%. It's in Feasterville, PA. They're called 'Shades Of Gray.'

Yeah, I took a look at some of their work last night and they do seem to do a nice job.

Damn, so how far do you live from Feasterville?

Yeah, they are pretty good. You won't be disappointed. I live approx. 100 miles away.

My First Road Trip

Okay.. Today was a VERY hot day and possibly one of the hottest day we will see this season in NorthEast (95 degrees). I took a 2.5 hours road trip today in my Z. I was very surprised to see how well the Z drove. The suspension is just right - not too harsh or soft. All aluminum lightweight suspension parts really makes quite a difference.

Despite the hot and humid temparature, my oil temp NEVER rose above 220 degrees. This includes WOT - in the acceleration lanes and from toll booths. I stopped at a rest stop to use the restroom about after 1 hour of driving. When I turned the ignition off, I didn't notice the 2nd fan kick in too cool the engine down meaning the car was running nice and cool.

I was getting at least 26+ MPG on the highway cruising from 75 - 80 MPH. As soon as I took my foot off a little (about 70 MPH), my MPG rose close to 28.6 MPG. Pretty impressive. Please note that gas mileage is LEAST of my worries since I DIDNOT buy this car for gas mileage. But I just posted in case someone wanted to know...

With this road trip, I'm assured that I won't be able to overheat this car (during normal driving whether on highway or roads). Not sure if my Redline oil helped keep the temp down or no, but I'm am happy. Now, if you're taking this car to a track, oil cooler is your ONLY friend ;)

Sorry you can't see the temp, but it's right below 220 degrees (about 215). I should have taken a pic instead of vid :shakes head:

P.S. Who changed the thread tag to "wally Martin Blue" LMAO...:icon17:

DannyGT 06-02-2009 04:31 PM

Cruising around the way you are on that same day in 6th I wouldnt surpass 185-190 temps (thats right when the thermostatic plate opens up), the oil cooler really does make a huge difference.

In fact during that rally event I went too I did not once pass 220 in temps...it was alot of highway, but definitly in the upper RPMs for a large portion of the time.

AK370Z 06-02-2009 04:37 PM

That's cool danny (literally!;)) I do not have a oil cooler installed (unless Nissan installed a hidden one) but I didn't cross 220 during my whole drive.

BTW, Just saw your exhaust video and it sounds great.

shiftmx05 06-12-2009 03:59 PM

Hey do you still plan on installing an aftermarket built in nav system into your Z. Im very curious/excited to see how this looks in the 370. I have yet to see anyone in these forums that have done this and I believe I remember you mentioning that you wanted to do this.

I currently have a built in nav system installed on my 350, but once i purchase my 370 I want to get the base model so that i can transfer it over. I believe it will be a much cleaner look than actually buying the touring/nav package. Just my thoughts.

gorillanismo 06-14-2009 02:17 PM

that factory gauges look great
