As promised, here are a few more details about the setup. Special thanks to Esfourteen for selling me a great kit that was very organized when shipped:
GTM Stg 2 twin turbo kit Garrett GT2860RS with .86ar housings Berk downpipes Swaintech white lightning coating (manifolds, turbine housings, 02 housings, and downpipes) AAM oil pan spacer Turbosmart 50mm BOVs 36 row row oil cooler Specialty Z clutch Stainless clutch line Tilton Race CSC CJM stg 0 return fuel system ASNU 1050cc injectors Fuel lab FPR Aeromotive 340lph pump Fuel pump relay some crappy pics during the install CJM return kit Modified fuel basket with Aeromotive pump Snails Specialty Z clutch OEM fluids and new 45 fittings for the oil cooler DIY gauge pod Tilton Race CSC installed - my factory CSC was ripped and probably about to fail Clutch and turbos in the car All assembled and checking for leaks All in all it was a good DIY. No major hiccups but you do need to get crafty with tools if you install this without dropping the motor. I will definitely invest in a lift in the future to save me from crawling under the car over and over again. I took the car for a pump gas tune yesterday, but ran into a problem with the wastegate actuators. They will need some adjustment since I was seeing boost levels of 11.5 psi before even getting close to redline. Once I resolve those problems, it will be hitting the dyno for a pump gas tune and E85 will follow shortly after

Nice what did it roughly put down on the dyno? It sounds like you are having boost creep, which is common in internal wastegates. Did you check if both turbos are creeping or just one particular side. Chances are if both are creeping, you may have to either bore out the wastegate hole in the turbine housing to allow more flow or go external.

Wastegate issue resolved and the pump gas phase is complete. I visited JMS Racing in San Antonio, TX for the tune. I told the tuner that I was hoping for 500whp on pump.
Achieved Runs were on low (8.5psi) and high (10.5) psi. 8.5psi Pull: 10 psi Pull: I've had many compliments about the Motordyne E370 on this setup. It gives it a close GTR sound on idle and normal driving We will try new fuel in the near future, E85 or MS109 in Spring 2015

Hey nice CSC you got there where did you get that? Any reviews on them? They should be good for street driving right? I meant which distributor or you got it directly from tilton? Last edited by Zoren 370; 12-26-2014 at 11:38 PM. |
