Mr&Mrs 10-02-2012 05:52 PM

Thanks guys I cant wait to get started on this!

Looking in to a wing/hoods still. I can not decide! At least im not in a rush for a big car show this time.

Also debating on doing a wrap again, I was shown some really unique colors this past weekend.

Dembflyr 10-02-2012 06:23 PM

Sweet!

98intrigue 10-02-2012 07:32 PM

Rob, have that thing ready for Cars and Coffee October 20th! I'll be debuting my car there, too.

Mr&Mrs 10-02-2012 08:27 PM

If it happens, it happens, I am not going to only sleep 3-4 hours a day this time to get it done lol. No wheels yet either so im not sure if im going to show it any until I figure out what I want. Stock wheels just look so meh with a nice kit on the car.

Really NICE! Man wish i could afford coilovers right now.

Mr&Mrs 10-02-2012 08:36 PM

I got mine for a really good price from a member here. He had not even listed them yet but I inquired after noticing some other things he was selling. Nose around a bit and they can be had for half the cost of new.

Operation: Take Over Dads Garage (Again)

The Zele kit came in today, hats off to Bulletproof that was way faster then I could of hoped for. I already got all of the parts removed in about 2 hours tonight. I am going to clean behind all the panels, under the car, all the piping, and etc. tomorrow. I do not know why but it looks like it went through a dust storm under all the parts. My dad is even helping this time I cant believe it! I think it is because he loves the color blue lol.

Thanks! When I get it all unboxed later today I will snap some more pictures. Only thing I really inspected when I opened the boxes was the CF Lip.

Dembflyr 10-10-2012 12:10 AM

That dust storm was probably just some good ol Indiana back roads. I did get it real dusty on one of them once. I guess it got in all the cracks and cravaces.

docaam 10-10-2012 01:25 AM

Can't wait for final results

I was reading through some of your older posts and noticed you were a former VR-4 owner. I sold mine 2 years ago and miss her dearly.

Do you have any pics of your old car?

Here is my former car

I am really bad about taking pictures (do not take enough) so I can ask my wife if she has any hiding somewhere. I sold mine almost 7 years ago. It was pearl white also. Only outside modification I had was UnderGlow L.E.D's lol!

I had upgraded MAF intake, HKS EVC, and Turbo XS open to atmosphere BOV. I did not have very much moding money back then I wish I would of been able to dump some cash into that car. It was so far ahead of its time I miss it dearly.

your car looked amazing by the way!

A quick update:

HOLY CRAP! This kit is 100% perfect! Everything is pre-drilled, hardware for lip included, tape for skirts, and pre-installed mesh in every opening. It only took about an hour to put all the parts on.

One sad thing I had to do was hack up the exhaust tips. Once the kit is painted and installed I will take it to a shop to add on dual tips. I had two problems:
1) Tips were to big.
2) Exhaust is to low to fit in the openings.

Here's the pics!

Hardware

Pre-drilled Holes! (They are everywhere needed just pictured a few)

Almost forgot the sexy CF Lip

Last but not least fitted to the car. By the way I had to do no sanding what so ever this time either. What a pleasure this has been so far.

If anyone is thinking of getting this kit do it! Buy the real deal though, I have done one of each now and wish I would of spent a little more the first time. The extra money is all quality and it shows.

Everything should be going to the painter tomorrow.

KevinN 10-10-2012 10:57 PM

looks great! I just ordered the full kit w/exhaust from bulletproof. Can't wait to get it! gotta question though, does the bumper come with a bracket for a front license plate?

Sure does, man I wanted to get the exhaust but I really want wheels too. Im trying, TRYING to put myself on some kind of budget. Plus I want to have a few things to add throughout next year.

Did you go with one of the limited SS sets or all out with the Ti?

KevinN 10-10-2012 11:37 PM

went with the SS set. i understand the budget constraint haha. I pulled the trigger on the zele kit right after I got some volks... wasnt the greatest idea but got them for a pretty good price, couldnt pass it up. cant wait to see your car finished

simota1 10-11-2012 01:35 AM

man that is dead on bro!!! thats what you get with the original parts man  perfect fit man...

If you don't mind shoot me a PM with what they offered you the SS for. I want to see what kind of ball park we are playing in. It is really a hard price to pass up on. At the same time though the car already has a really nice 3" F.I system on it.

Hope to see a build thread come from you once your kit arrives as well.

Mr&Mrs 10-11-2012 09:09 PM

Nut_N_Much picked up my headlights today, and all the ZELE parts were dropped off with the painter. 2 week estimate on pick up for the parts because he does it on the side at home. Left a couple extra parts with him as well.

I looked at installing the coilovers myself but I'm not comfortable with it so they will have to wait. Unless I find someone to come to the garage and install them for me.

Mr&Mrs 10-11-2012 09:18 PM

Also does anyone know what will get hard water spots off the piping? I tried quick detail and rubbing compound. Neither one of them worked.

Dembflyr 10-11-2012 09:33 PM

Try turtle wax chrome polish. I used to use it on the exhaust and it worked well.

Fly1 Motorsports 10-11-2012 11:46 PM

In for results and happy for you bro!!

Coilovers are easy! I'm down to help... I've installed/uninstalled my Z springs and have installed/uninstalled my cup kit and then installed my KW coilovers on the Viper.

Mr&Mrs 10-12-2012 02:09 PM

Sweet I will give you a text soon and try to figure out a good day to do it. Thanks bro!
