KaienZ34 04-17-2011 09:28 PM

Car looks badazz. What tire sizes are you running?

Mr&Mrs 04-18-2011 10:38 AM

295/30/20 rear 255/35/20 front

HKYStormFront 04-18-2011 03:23 PM

car looks great, models look great, i'll be curious to see how this turns out tho from the photographer... if he knows what he's doing it could be awesome but he's breaking a lot of the lighting rules from what i can see...

Mr&Mrs 04-18-2011 07:00 PM

I do not know what to look for but the shots he was showing me through his little eye piece were to drool for.

HKYStormFront 04-18-2011 09:27 PM

not saying you can't do it right... i just would have done it differently. as a general rule, shooting in or near mid day sun (which is what it looks like in the pics you posted) is really difficult. it just depends on the situation and what he does in post work, i'll just be interested to see the results once he posts them

Mr&Mrs 04-18-2011 09:42 PM

I will be sure to share them =) We did have a late start like 10am. Thats why he was trying to shoot in the shadow of that building. He kept saying alot of stuff that went right over my head. I just parked the car where he told me to, and kept telling the girls how hot they were lol.

Mr&Mrs 04-19-2011 01:15 PM

So much better then my shots, only thing that sucks is you can see the boo boo in my bumper that is getting fixed this week. Thats what happens when you run out of time preparing for a show =(

You have to experience it to fully understand it.

Lemers 04-19-2011 03:04 PM

I might not see the pics but I sure can ask about them.

Mr&Mrs 04-19-2011 04:42 PM

Haha no nudes.........but pretty skimpy. When our photographer comes back in a few months we will be doing another shoot. My wing will be on then, front bumper painted, possible new wheels, or new paint design on the current wheels, lowered, and possibly some engine bay dress up.

I spent alot in a hurry on all this so I want to recover a little before the next round of mods, plus saving for FI beginning of next year.

Also love this two tone so much im going to be removing the vinyl and painting it the same color.

Im glad you guys cant see the boo boo, and im not gonna say because then it will jump out at you like it does me.

Mr&Mrs 04-19-2011 05:10 PM

Here is a pic of my wheel from CF Element I forgot to post pics of it.

Mr&Mrs 04-30-2011 02:26 AM

Updated first post for new viewers.

Man just went through the thread and wow, it really blew up in the weeks leading to the show on the 16th. Thanks for all the support guys im going to be taking a much needed break from things for a little while.

Very minor changes to come in the next few weeks, CF Amuse wing being put on, a slight drop on Nismo springs, and simotas overlay!

Now saving for my FI fix, I cant wait much longer :yum:

Carbon_z 05-01-2011 08:36 PM

is there something wrong with the passenger side fender and door area??? the door jam doesnt line up. Is that the boo boo? lol

Mr&Mrs 05-01-2011 09:24 PM

No....those lines are 98% dead on. Which picture are you refering to maybe it is the angle or lighting making it appear bad.

Carbon_z 05-01-2011 11:23 PM

http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/a...2/D3X_5853.jpg

maybe bad angle... just couldn't tell. You said there was a flaw so I had to search for it. lol i thought i noticed something on the center of the front bumper lip and something on the girls right thigh also but i think i was trying too hard bwahaha

Mr&Mrs 05-02-2011 12:41 AM

Yeah thats just the picture if it was that close the door would hit it when you opened it.

No one ever notices until I tell them, it just eats at me lol. Cant wait till its fixed!

How "true" was that hood? I mean like was it straight or wavy? Did it need any body filler to make sure there were no gaps. Can you take a pic of the underside of it, thanks

That hood was perfect. trust me I helped him put in on. the weave was excellent, the hood was a perfect fit, no drilling all of the holes were already placed in the hood, it was just a matter of taking off the original, taking the latch and bumpers off and putting them on the new one, perfect fit.

Mr&Mrs 05-02-2011 08:13 PM

This thing lines up perfectly my passenger side gap is a little bigger then the driver side (talking 100ths) but I have to rework the fender a little to fix that nothing to due with the hood. It already has all the holes for your stock hardware, so you just swap it all over. The only thing that did not relocate right to this hood was the rubber seal at the nose. I still have to mount it on this hood, but im being lazy right now =).

Edit: thanks kelly beat me to it =)

Also I will get you a pic tomorrow of what it looks like underneath.

kellyefields 05-02-2011 08:19 PM

yeah I had to beat you to something LOL

Mr&Mrs 05-02-2011 08:24 PM

You got your body kit before me! I cant help you want more peices now after helping with mine =P

NewYorkJon34 05-02-2011 08:36 PM

Thanks guys, I really want to get it, just heard of the inconsistent nature of seibon & wanted to avoid a project of making it look flawless. I plan on painting the whole thing white, my installer/painter just wants to see the underside of the hood. Where did you purchase the hood? I'm kinda looking for a deal, as we all are ;)

Well the hood I got (purchased from vivid racing) was so perfect that even if you got one that was a "bad batch" I dont think it would cost much to have it fixed. I do not know enough about Seibon to comment on their quality though. Just speak on my experience with them, and that has been great.

Now just so you know, it cost me alot more then the price of the hood to have it properly painted. It has to be sanded all the way down the the CF, very carefully to not mess up the weave, then primed and sanded about 3 times before the paint can be applied. Then it has to be sanded and buffed before the clear is applied and then buffed/sanded again for a flawless finish i.e no orange peal.

So if I were you I would not even get CF unless you think your doing it for weight savings, and even that is very little over Stock/FRP.

NewYorkJon34 05-02-2011 11:26 PM

Well the design of the hood is what I like, if it was in frp then I'd order that version. Pm me how much u paid. I have a good painter that usually charges alot so I'm already prepared, lol

Mr&Mrs 05-02-2011 11:38 PM

PM'ed

NewYorkJon34 05-02-2011 11:43 PM

Thanks
