Congrats on the win too...hope to get my Z up to par and maybe enter a show or two this summer. Hope the single turbo switch works out for you.

Great work!! Looking minnnttt!!

Mr&Mrs 02-22-2014 12:30 PM

Actually I have not really driven in a couple months. Kept this a little on the down low except to parties interested in buying the car. I just had back surgery on the 20th so the only road I'm driving is the one to recovery. Here's to hoping I can drive a manual car again soon!

GaleForce 02-22-2014 12:35 PM

I hope you have a quick and successful recovery.

Luciano13 02-22-2014 01:18 PM

Back surgery is a tough one. Im sure you'll be back in the game in no time:tup:

chpt11 02-25-2014 07:51 AM

Take care man! If you need someone to take your Z out for a spin every once in a while, just let me know.. until your 100% of course!

:tiphat:

Mr&Mrs 02-25-2014 07:57 AM

Not sure if you have driven a TT 370 yet but if you do you will have 15k dollar fever. That said once I can walk down the stairs your more than welcome to take it for a spin around the block.

chpt11 02-25-2014 02:14 PM

Sounds like a plan ! Haven't ever driven a TT 370.

:happydance:

Hotrodz 02-25-2014 07:31 PM

Don't do it unless you are serious....it's minimum of $15K! You will probably end up making him an offer right on the spot!!! Boost is serious dope :p

Mr&Mrs 04-02-2014 07:24 PM

Well fellas I think the car is pretty much spoken for. I have a very serious buyer lined up. I am a little sad but not bad. After speaking with the buyer for quite a while I feel she will be going to a great home. It was hard to find someone who respected the work Dave and I put into her.

The excitement of what could be next is helping me through the seperation. I know I'm talking like its a real person but never had as much of a connection with a car before. I think Dave felt the same way. Maybe it's something with the car.......some kind of supernatural Ora :icon17:

With those feelings I know a lot of you are thinking how the heck could he sell it. Well with my recent back issues I feel it's a good idea to get out ahead. My healing process from surgery has not been pleasant and may need a second operation. I have a decent disability program with my job but after 6 months it is significantly reduced pay.

I tossed paying it off but the car would continue to lose values and I want to roll as much over as I can into the next purchase. That is of course if I get back to my normal routine.

I want to thank everyone who has followed, and helped with my builds. Don't worry I won't be going anywhere. I will be sure to post my next project as well. This is my family, best forum ever!

Oh you can't get rid of me that easy. I'm gonna stalk all of you forever!

Luciano13 04-02-2014 08:00 PM

Glad to hear she's potentially sold:tup:
Sad to hear you will no longer have youR baby BLUE:ugh2:

I must say your build was one of the top cleanest and outstanding street builds on the forum:tiphat:
Have fun with whatever new "Project???" you come up with brother:hello:

Dembflyr 04-02-2014 08:10 PM

Glad you found someone to continue to take care of her the way she deserves.

I miss that car every day as I'm sure you will too.

Is the new owner a member of the site?

GaleForce 04-02-2014 09:06 PM

More important, take care of yourself. Heal up so you can come back stronger than ever to build your next project.

Mr&Mrs 04-03-2014 09:01 AM

They are not a member that I know of. I did request they become one so I can still follow the car.

simota1 04-03-2014 02:38 PM

one of my most respected builds on here... rest up your back brother :D

Luciano13 04-14-2014 06:47 PM

Very interesting on your "FS" Thread..... Im not sure whether to give you a hug or cry the blues away........
However...... I did enjoy the fact of your final post;)
I like changes:tup: especially if it your Z getting additional upgraded:rock:

Mr&Mrs 04-14-2014 08:30 PM

Thanks, honestly I'm off the roller coaster of selling this thing. I don't have the time and energy to keep going back and fourth with it right now. Everyone knows I can't leave things alone with these cars so you can bet on some changes coming soon.

Mr&Mrs 06-10-2014 10:19 PM

This past Sunday cleaned all the dust of the Z, changed the oil and took her for a spin with thw Wife to dinner. Felt great and got all kinds of attention, go figure

Only put about 100 miles on her so far this year :shakes head:

GaleForce 06-10-2014 10:34 PM

Gorgeous! I love this car.

Luciano13 06-10-2014 10:50 PM

There's just something about your car that sings to me:tiphat:

Not a great picture, someone took it on the way to IFO on their cell phone. I think its a great angle for the car though might try to replicate one day with better quality.

GaleForce 06-12-2014 11:16 PM

You can really see the concave of the rear wheels.

DatsunFTW 06-13-2014 12:43 PM

It's good to know the Z is still in your hands :D not sure if you're aware.. but will you be making an appearance at the ILDS event cars and beaches tomorrow?

Since it is 1 minute from my house I planned on at least driving through. Don't think I'm going to show it though. I have a lot to do around the house for all the Fathers day guests coming over Sunday.

DatsunFTW 06-13-2014 09:03 PM

Our central Florida Z Club will be there so come by and say hello. I would love to see your Z. :tiphat:

When you bought the RS1 vented flares, was there an option for the carbon fiber? Did you get the carbon fiber wrapped at a place?

Ztoon 09-19-2014 09:09 PM

Really enjoyed following your build!
I should probably part with mine as well. Just too many memories invested in it.

Maybe I'll see you on the C7 forum if that's to be your next project. Looks like I'm getting into debt for one in the spring.

Mr&Mrs 06-18-2015 11:18 AM

Just wanted to stop in and say hi to everyone. It has been quite a while since my last post/visit to the forum. Been through a lot still going through a lot. Blah blah blah!

Z still looking and running perfect. She still doesn't see much action unless its me opening the garage door to have a little peak lol.

Eventually I will get back into the action but for now keep on with your bad selves and enjoy your Z's!

Luciano13 06-18-2015 03:17 PM

Any reason why you're not driving the Z? Its been quite some time now...

Mr&Mrs 08-03-2017 04:16 AM

So I know I have been gone for ages, and come back to find photobucket wants 400.00 a year to host my images??? Anyone know an easy fix for this? I imagine the thread is still a nice resource for new people.

Also Hi, lol

Also Hi, lol

Migrate them to a new hosting site. There is also a Chrome extension out there now that will let you personally view the pictures while it is active.

Mr&Mrs 12-17-2019 02:25 PM

I know a lot of people used to follow this thread so this may help getting an answer on my other post here: Transmission Help

I tried to google the issue but without much luck.

*Update* Talked to Z1 Motorsports and the fix is simple. Just a couple oversights by the shop.

Glad to hear you still alive. Miss you around these parts. I will let the gang know about your post as they will be more help to you than me!

I miss being around as well. Went through some terrible depression for a while. It is getting better though. I pretty much walled off all parts of my life, this was a big one. I do lurk from time to time just to see what old timers are still around =D
