Can you PM me a website and parts list? So I can order what we need. I want to do the dual orb with projector mod, put some high quality L.E.Ds in the landing strip. I also need to find a match to the MBlue for the housing, and gloss black for the shrouds.

I think I saw a place that can do a rattle can with what ever color paint code you give them. I just cant seem to find it now. Or I can have my painter at Nissan take care of the paint and we can do the lighting. It might be best to call me sometime tomorrow lol

That is one hell of a sight seeing two Z's in the same garage. congrats

I got the rattle can paint that I used from the link in this thread.

http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...-blackout.html

It matched perfect but I messed up on the passenger side. Then it was made worse by trying to fix it. If you have any questions about what you see when you get them apart just let me know.

Thanks for the link! The headlight does not look bad at all only reason I noticed is because you told me about it and I looked real close lol. I may have some questions with the wiring, but im not changing anything other than the Iron Man, to Orbs so it should use the same leads.

Sent PM... Gave you all the details to order the parts. Will do it for trade of something, wont charge you. Don't want to piss anyone one off. Friend to Friend we can getter done...

Before getting resisters for the run way leds, read some threads one them, people had some trouble with the resisters burning out. I'll dig up my notes, but a wiz kids explained why there were issues and what he recommended. Trying to find that post..

I found it, I had in in my build thread: 200 OHM 1 Watt he explains why below.

Quote from Javier: Hi. I'm thinking of doing the same to my headlights but my numbers indicate that I should be using 200 OHM resistors at 1 watt. The LEDs are runnung at 26mA not the 20mA that they are designed for so the current draws .762 watts. Therefore you should us at least a 1 watt resistor not 1/4 or 1/2. My numbers are as follows: 12 v devided .060mA (3 leds in series) = 200 ohms. Please let me know what you think. I just do not want to be opening these headlights once a year. The way I see it the current is greater than the resistor can handle and they may burn up.

Hmm they already have the landing strip but one LED burnt out. I am basically a moron when it comes to wiring. I will text Dave and ask what he has installed unless he chimes in here first.

Last night and this morning I ordered all my paint supplies, dual halos, and the G35 lens's.

Thanks again for all the help guys!

Well I scrubbed the Boost controller install and tune for now. I called GTM asked them some questions, they asked me some questions, and it was decided that this tune will be fine in Florida. I will put the 1200.00 towards painting my Zele kit when it finally gets here.

Also I took the Blue Z in for an oil change today and got a good look at all the underside while it was on the lift. Dave you done an amazing job installing the kit :tiphat: I have no clue how you could of done that with the motor in the car! I can tell just by looking I would of punched holes in walls, threw tools, cursed till I popped a vein etc. etc. lol

Dembflyr 08-25-2012 02:21 PM

Thanks for the compliment on the install. :tiphat:

Trust me. There was plenty of foul language and thrown tools during the install. Not to mention busted knuckles. But a good pair of mechanic gloves save a lot of them.

I'm glad that you are enjoying the car. I miss it terribly but I am very happy that I can follow your progress.

Have you beat her yet? She likes it rough. :D

I got on it a little, the AFR's got a little rich (10.5) yesterday when I got on it. Im thinking it done it because of how hot it was. Next time I get a chance to drive it I will take it out in the morning and see if they hug 11.3 like they were before.

My VR4 was also a complete PITA so much so that I will probably never work on this alone. I just do not have the time, if something goes wrong I will take it to a shop. With my limited free time it would take months to repair.

Heck I took the center console out of my SRT-4 months ago to replace shifter bushings and still have not put it back in lol

I don't remember ever seeing the AFR get to 10.5. Are you reading that from the gauge on the pillar?

Yep, and I have no idea what could of got it down in the 10's either. Maybe a boost leak? But it seems to be holding right at 7 PSI and I think I would hear anything major enough to drop it down that low.

Edit: The Vac side is also fine.

Mr&Mrs 08-29-2012 07:52 PM

Well had a chance to drive the car tonight and everything is normal with the AFR's. So I'm sticking with the thought of it being super heat soaked and nasty humid temperatures out causing it to happen.
