Well I got a lot done today. All that is left is putting in the wheel well liners and the wheels. Then adjust the coil overs (if needed). Friday morning it is off to the exhaust shop. I took a few pics to tease with but my dads computer is being stupid and it wont load them. Im staying here for the night to get on it first thing when I wake up. So that means no pics sorry!

I also found an oil leak while under the car tonight  it looks like the oil pan gasket. I hope that is all it is! :ugh2:

Updates to follow tomorrow morning once I get the final touches done. I can tell you this, it is absolutely breath taking. Have your lotion and tissues ready :bowrofl:

king12sky 11-07-2012 11:58 PM

Keep it coming! im excited for you!

Ok here are a few of the shots from last night, and a couple from outside today when we got her back on the road. Couple of warnings the height is way off front to back. We were way off somehow on the adjustments. the front is 2" off the ground the rear is like 5-6" LOL! I drove it back to my place for the night.

I have an appointment first thing in the morning to get the exhaust fixed. If he finishes it in time I will take it for suspension adjustments/alignment.

All and all im about 90% happy with the outcome of the project. The fenders were just a complete PITA I even cracked one a little trying to line it up, but you cant see unless I point it out or your really looking for it. So now when I get some money saved back up im going to take it to a body shop to get it 100% perfect.

Enough blabber here is a few pics!

Mr&Mrs 11-09-2012 05:25 PM

Well my day sucked royal donkey balls! The only good thing is I didn't have to pay out any money for what did get accomplished which wasn't really jack. I will start off saying I would kill for a shop in my area that had half a brain and respected peoples property.

I went to the exhaust shop first thing this morning which was a nightmare because the front of the car was barely two inches off of the ground. I did end up making a little mark on the driver side of the lip in process. They said it would be two hours before they could get me in and referred me to a suspension/alignment shop to fix my height issues. Well they turned me away and sent me to another shop.

So they tell me it is going to be all day....great so much for fixing the exhaust. I show up 2 hours to them closing and they have not figured out how to adjust the height yet! So I jump in and help the guy figure it out. Then they try saying come back tomorrow. NOPE I told them I no longer leave my cars anywhere due to bad deals. Long story short they finished the height adjustments, and didn't charge me anything.

When I got home a little bit ago I noticed the oil seep I found yesterday has now turned into a decent leak. One of the stupid heat deflectors I put in so the exhaust heat wouldn't melt my paint popped off on one side and scratched under my bumper a little. I was just super stressed all day about this and im completely worn out.

Anyway im done venting that is just a blip of the BS I went thru today. I wish Z1 or Baker would expand into the Brandon/Tampa area, they would be swamped with business!

On a side note they sure look sexy together dont they?

Also thanks everyone for the positive feedback!

tibal 11-09-2012 06:51 PM

I was going to ask about the tips until I saw your post.. Damn, well at least they didn't charge you..
It could have been worse! This :shakes head: guy could have been working on the car:

Hope it takes your mind off things for a sec.

Mr&Mrs 11-10-2012 07:10 PM

Haha! I'm over it already modding cars never goes smooth, it always something. The little issues I'm having someone else would probably beg to have over their own. It is nice to vent to the forum when your having a crap day though.

docaam 11-11-2012 10:58 PM

Mr&Mrs 11-14-2012 01:21 PM

Got my suspension fine tuned today.....AND my Tips fixed :happydance: I went with Oval over dual tips or I would of had to lose my F.I mufflers. No way I say!

http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/DSCN3442.jpg

ts-c63 11-14-2012 01:34 PM

Car looks amazing, just the exhaust tips throw me a little off. I would mess around and try a "split" dual exhaust tip set up and see how that would look. Other then that I'm so jealous :(

:iagree:

I have to keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end...

You have two sweet looking cars. Can't wait to see the new wheels on the Zele!

Mr&Mrs 11-14-2012 01:48 PM

Trust me I explored every possible route. I at one point told them to weld a dummy tip to the side of a real tip, put a back plate on it, and I would spray flat black paint in it to make it look like carbons :rofl2:

The 3" exhaust is huge as were the mufflers. I had no room to do anything with a dual tip that would not have required me to lose my entire axle back. I think the ovals look better in person maybe im just making myself happy who knows.

Anyone in my position I think would of made the same choice if they could see all the issues with going dual tip. Zele done a great job to force you to buy their system to fit the rear.

Im just so happy I can sit back and enjoy the car for a little bit. I have owned it since July and not even burned an entire tank of gas yet :ugh2:

Apparently they can coat it or something. Look at Ark DTS and Exotic speed exhaust. They arent really Ti but they kinda "color/coat" it.

king12sky 11-14-2012 04:53 PM

What are you gonna do with your rear spoiler tho? The sport one doesnt flow well with the Zele IMHO.. I had to change it too.

Mr&Mrs 11-14-2012 04:59 PM

I actually just talked to Scott over at vivid while ordering my new lug nuts (project kicks blue titanium) and I'm getting the APR wing. Probably order it first of the year.

king12sky 11-14-2012 05:04 PM

I see.. yea that is another way i think it will look aggressive. I went with something rounder just to flow with the body. Will show you a pic once i get home.

Amuse370z 11-14-2012 05:56 PM

TBH, I think the fenders would look better on your amuse.

Jamaica 11-14-2012 06:52 PM
