It seems that for lighter colored cars? it draws more attention than it would a darker colored car.

Jamaica 12-29-2010 02:48 AM

Yea you right. How the handles turn out?

Trips 12-29-2010 02:55 AM

Long story short? Good after doing them three times, but I was thinking of down the road if they don't last? to buying some extras, and having your shop paint them.

Jamaica 12-29-2010 02:59 AM

how did you paintt them>

:bowrofl: sorry!

I sanded them down, and cleaned them with alcohol painted, and primered and painted them with the wrong paint? since i wanted the same shade. The problem with current dupli color paint I used was its for plastic and worked great not so great for the handles different material. I ended up just using some krylon metal plastic wood paint in flat black. I gave it 2 good coats and sealed it with a flat acrylic sealer. so will see how it last.

that should work. Hope it last...it could also be the paint you used on the door.

Trips, I think my handles were powdercoated by the body shop I have recently started going to. At least that's what I remember them saying they did but I can verify it for you.

Good to hear its a possibility, and I think the best way to go for a permanent solution.

The hood looks good and it matches your setup nicely, I'm looking forward to seeing it in person.

Can I buy your stock hood and put it on my car so I can pretend I have a 370z? LOL!!

zero 12-29-2010 11:52 AM

G, the hood looks great, flowing with the theme. Are you doing the roof next?

nice gain!

one mean looking car you got there trips! :D

christian370z 01-18-2011 05:53 PM

Dayum, I thought I misread the power at first because those are some of the highest N/A numbers I have seen yet. Congrats on the tune Trips, how does she feel? :)

Trips 01-18-2011 06:11 PM

To be quite honest? Very nice :)

The sharper throttle response, and the pickup in badly needed torque thru out the rpm range? Was a good gain. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. The tuner said I had good gains and he has noticed that some of the 7AT's benefited slightly better from the tune than the Manuals that he has done. I don't have any comparisons from other 7AT's to compare my numbers too? but they seem to be good numbers. :ugh2:

Lemers 01-18-2011 08:03 PM

I know I want one too. When I told my wife I wanted a CF hood and she said "do you really want to dumb down your car?". So I took that as a big no from her.
