40A - First wash

Hey everyone...this was just a simple two bucket wash. No claying, polishing, waxing, etc. I'll be working on those in a week. Then getting the clear bra installed.

The dirt I bought it with...

Two imperfections on the passenger door. Looks like Scratch-X could handle these...they're very shallow

After

Didn't touch the wheels, wheel wells, door shuts, hatch shut, etc. This was really just a quickie because I got new products and was itching to wash it.

More to come,
Adams

 Look'n good!

Looks great...Those imperfections will be easily correctable. So, what do you think, will this color be a swirls magnet like a black car? I hope not!!

Foam gun to make a lot of suds so you don't rub the grime INTO the paint -- BTW what brand is this? and how much? I need one.

And a portable flourescent light to look for defects (swirls) in the paint?? :yum:

Ah yeah sounds about right, thanks.

I definitely wanting that foam gun, that looks like it does an awesome job and it probably saves some time too.

As noted, it's a foam gun. I bought mine from AutoGeek.net (no affiliation). Paid $60. I like it a lot, but I don't think I did the soap/water ratio right. It can foam better than I was able to do.

Just wash?!
At least wax her, she deserves it!
I spent 4 hours yesterday on my baby.
lol...
And it just started to drizzle...
At least the rain will slip right off...

I know... she won't stay "naked" long. I love watching water bead too.

Enjoy that beautiful paint while you can. I got out of my car breathing a little heavy once and it scratched the paint.

I've heard the paint is soft from a couple people. Good thing I'm covering it in a week or two.

Definitely get that knocked out as soon as you can. It really does need it.

Very nice ride. Congrats on the foam gun, you will love it. I've had mine for some time now and love it. I don't mix the soap with water, just pour in your car soap and set it to the mix setting you desire. I use the smallest setting, works great. Also, I no longer use a two bucket wash system with the foam gun, it's not needed. Just rinse out your wash mitt in the rinse bucket after each small area you wash. I use a grit guard in my rinse bucket as well, just to be sure.

Looks very sexy all covered in suds... :)
