Thank you. Mike thepowdercoater from our forum did the brakes and strut bar in RAL2000.

Thank you. That was why I went with the color for the calipers and strut bar .. something to compliment the persimmon interior.

Honestly, I do not "feel" much of a difference with the JWT's. I did have a base dyno and re-dyno'd with the JWT's and I gained 8HP but lost approximately 4 flbs of Torque. However, the sound is much nicer. A deeper throaty sound when you really stomp on the pedal.

Ok. I updated with some pics of the HKS caps. I really am waiting until I get my rims back and get it cleaned before I get all of the pics updated.

Thanks, can I ask where you got it and do they make it in black?

Unfortunately, I do not think they come in black. You could probably get the oil cap powdercoated, as the orange center piece sticker is shipped as a separate piece. The reasoning is so that you can put the oil cap on, then place the center piece sticker in perfect even alignment or however you like it to look / angle.

On a positive note, here are my Black Chromed Rims:

ChrisSlicks 03-09-2010 07:34 PM

I think the GTM kit is flawed in design. Either they didn't account for the amount of sway bar movement on that end-link or they really suck at making connections.

Wheels look good though!

fullmonty 03-09-2010 08:08 PM

Car looks great man!! Love the wheels and the orange calipers

It does not look like the springs lowered the car that much. Both pics looks almost the same.

Did you installed a rear camber kit and toe bolt? How is the ride?

NA&CH 03-09-2010 08:53 PM

Car looks Great. Really like the black chrome rims. Very sharp.

Love what you've done with the ride..! Who did you order the your LED's from? DB

ddvette9 03-09-2010 09:24 PM

Good deal Travis. NOW ANSWER MY PM LOL. Cant wait to see it in person next week.

You have one of my fav cars on this website now. Clean mods but still has a factory look, really nice choices, not too over the top. I need to stop dropping money in audio and get into performance/looks LOL.

OP, that pro kit drop looks like a 0.5 inch drop in those pics. your thoughts?

nice calipers!

zentropy 03-09-2010 10:54 PM

Very nice looking Z! Excellent choice on color on both the wheels and the calipers.

schrute 03-10-2010 12:34 AM

+1. Wheels and calipers look great. Love how the calipers tie in with the interior. Nice.

Right, the Eibach's only drop it about 9/10's of an inch. Note too that this was immediately after the installation, so there was no time for settling in. Once I get this oil cooler situation taken care of, I will get some better pics of the space between the tires and wheel well. It should have settled by now.

The ride is just slightly harsher than stock. Not much, but I did notice a difference. Nothing extreme, you can just feel the bumps just a little bit more.

I did not install a camber kit, nor toe bolt. In fact, I still need to get an alignment. Which reminds me, I am going to do a full photo shoot of before and after the wheel alignment so we can see a true difference.

Thank you all. As you all know, it is an ever growing project. I really have to thank Mike (thepowdercoater) for the superb job he did on the calipers. I think the orange makes it pop and stand out behind the wheels. I did try to match the interior, but that is such a tough thing to do. In some light the calipers look slightly lighter than the interior, and in other light it looks dead on. Either way I do like how it pops. Also, I have to thank Glenn's Wheel Polishing for black chroming the rims. Again, these pics do not do it justice. I was going to take it to a decent location to do some good pictures of it this weekend, but now that I blew the oil line, that will have to wait.

I will get you guys to do my headlights in the future .. I've got some other things to work out first though. I haven't been able to work on my Z in close to a month now - I still need to finish putting on the spacers (H&R front stud replacement) and get the door handles color matched / painted. Plus, I am in the process of replacing all of the exposed nuts and bolts in the engine bay with polished matching nuts and bolts. THEN I can look to getting my headlights done. LOL

TipsZ 04-20-2010 08:08 PM

Finally, Sam from GTM confirmed that they have the newly designed lines for their Oil Cooler in stock and FedEx'd my replacement lines today. I can not wait to get them installed so that I can get her back on the road. Obviously, I plan to picture document the process for you guys. Once I get the Oil Cooler installed, it is time to try to find a paint shop to color match my wheels for the door handles.

Yep! Mike did a superb job on the caliper and strut bar. Which reminds me, Mike can you shoot me a PM? I need to get my stock NISSAN tow bar powder coated in that same RAL color!

TipsZ 05-07-2010 01:47 PM

GTM new lines came in, and look to be of better quality. Thus, I installed them about two weeks ago. No problems since. I am going to put her back up in the air to check for any leaks - though I do not expect any.

On another positive note, I got RedLine Graphics to hook me up with some custom graphics on the car.

I'm not sure if I posted the rims since they were completed - black chrome by Glenn's Wheel Polish, and Calipers by our very own Mike the Powdercoater:

Next up to get the resonated test pipes .. either the ART's or FI's.

TipsZ 12-07-2010 04:12 PM

Had Agency Power CBE and GTM Resonated Test Pipes installed on 4 December. Never-the-less this is a LOUD combo .. tons of drone and rasp... lol I will get pics (and possibly a video) up as soon as I can.

Just got my Hotchkis Sways and JDM Password Kevlar engine bay replacements .. so those will probably go on soon.. I just do not have much time these days ..

ddvette9 12-07-2010 06:06 PM

cant wait to see/ hear saturday
