I was under the impression that it was "genuine" as about half of the advertising photos on the website show the Crown Carbon Crafting name, but not on the photos of the kit, even though the photos are of the same CCC white/red Z.. Coincidentally, I had to send an email to them this morning about something unrelated to this topic using their (Hyper Hive Inc) webmail on the website. Just got a response about a half hour ago and it's from CCC. It doesn't feel like a drop shipper? It feels affiliated in some form. Either way, I looked up their CA Secretary of State and they incorporated in March of this year. Also have a lease in the business's name in a CA business park surrounded by other automotive/aftermarket businesses.. albeit in varying degrees of sophistication. Meh.. purchased via big bank credit card and ran through Paypal. I call it my defence-in-depth against scams lol. Not bullet proof but it has helped in the past.

Wow this build is getting better and better. “Started from the bottom now we here” comes to mind.

I have loved seeing this come from where you started to where you are at. Can't wait to see what it looks like in that color as well. Such a great build.
I do have a question - how are you liking the Fortune Auto 500s? That is what I am wanting to do and was wondering how you liked it compared to where it was stock (if you were able to drive it stock). TIA. |

Holy crap dude! Looks like a brand new car!
I know it's brutally cold up north, so if you want a break from the cold and even from your car, you can come to FL for the warmer weather (and help a fellow Z brother replacing the CSC/CMC). Just saying

Life pulled me away from the car for a while. Had the holidays, and then some surprise remodeling in the basement when we got a ton of rain here in December.
Decided today was the day to head back out to the garage and start on this pile of parts that’s getting out of control. Nothing crazy, began mocking up the TFF bar and getting clearance for the PS cooler, oil cooler, and incorporating the Dewla Dezign air scoop thing. More to come hopefully soon. Also maybe got the tires mounted.. Thanks for stopping’ by. I hope it was worth the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Got the front coilover springs replaced. Upped spring rates and went with Swift.
Changed out the end links. SPL vs Whiteline side-by-side comparison for anyone’s reference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The FA 500's are satisfactory at this point. I would have to limit my assessment there as other factors need sorted out that may impact the driving feel (alignment, correct aspect ratio on tires, not to mention they are all seasons) I picked them up because I liked the modularity. As my needs or preferences change I can order or send them down to VA and get whatever I need done relatively quickly. My error was that when I ordered them, I based spring rates off of my previous knowledge of working with FC's, S14's, and Miata's. Needless to say, my spring rates were a little soft when accounting for the considerable weight difference. May end up sending in for revalving once I get back on the road and see how the new spring rates feel. As for how it would feel over stock, that is a hard one for me to answer as I made a handful of other suspension changes at the same time as installing the coilovers. Overall, very pleased with the coils and FA as a company if that helps.
