Thanks Mike,

What's the chance of rubbing when fully loaded at the track (especially if slightly lowered on coilovers), or is this more of a show setup?

So I take it the fitment over the calipers was ok?

To be honest I have no clue about rubbing at the track. The answer to that is just going to be figured out by trial and error hahaha. I think it should be fine though. Most of the extra inch will be added to the inside of the wheel, not the outside.

Fitment over the calipers was fine.

A little trial and error is fine as long as I can correct it

So now I just need to decide if 11 or 12" is the way to go in the rear.

If you ever take the NT05's out on the street, feel free to PM me. I would like a tire that grips well both wet and dry, and is quiet.

The NT05 is considered a maximum grip street tire that is trackable. It has solid wet performance but not as good in the wet as the Invo, but is better in the dry. The Invo would be quieter. I know lots of people that run the NT555 as a street tire as well.

Yeah, that sounds too small to me too... Hopefully won't look 'stretched'! Seems like anything from 295-305 would be ideal. Makes sense that 315 would just be adding weight for an NA 370z. Re 285, guessing Mike is going with what's available through his tire sponsor

BTW, here is the best deal I've been able to find on R888s! If anyone has seen better pricing, SPEAK UP !

Well part of why I liked the PS2 275/35 + 315/30 setup is the revs per mile come out at 815 and 817, which is nearly a perfect match in height/circumference. It's hard to find anything else remotely that close in rpm that matches up well with all the other factors. Even if the extra few mm of rubber weighs a little more, the whole setup is still 10% lighter than the stock 19+RE050A setup.

I think even 30mm is too much. To dial out some of the factory understeer I would do 10mm-20mm stagger.

Hmmm... yeah the understeer does suck a little I've noticed, and I guess I'd be making that worse with the fat-*** rears I'm looking at. Do you think running aftermarket sways with the rear at the hardest setting would alleviate it enough?

I will be looking for coilovers than have a stiffer rear spring, maybe as much as 14kg/mm vs a 12kg/mm front. I also will be looking for the stiffest rear sway bar I can find.

I'm still digging on tires sizes too. One way or another I'll make 18x10 and 18x11 work for me though. I really wish the PS2 came in some 305 sizes, it would make fitting this together easier. Another good rev-matched setup I found for the PS2 though would be to go 285/30R18 + 295/30R18. They're a little shorter than the 275/35 + 315/30 setup I was looking at earlier (which is a good thing, imho), but well-matched to each other (840 and 832 revs per mile, with the rear being the slightly taller one). The 285's are rated for 9.5-10.5 rims and the 295 for 10-11 rims, so that would fit on the 10/11 staggered rims and get the tire stagger down to 10mm.

I'll probably keep contemplating this and the rest of the suspension setup while waiting on the forgestars to be made anyways, and change my mind like 5 more times on tires

Official update:

I picked the car up from Berk Technology on Sunday with the stock exhaust back on it. The prototype exhaust system looks awesome in person and I cant wait to get a production version on the car for testing. The production version should be on its way to me at the end of this week or early next week with an X or H pipe. Plans are to get another baseline dyno before the Berk exhaust goes on then dyno again after the exhaust.

Yesterday before coming back up to Las Vegas, I stopped by BRIDE seats to test fit new 370Z seat rails. Good news is they fit! Bad news is that they wont get any more in until mid July.

After BRIDE seats, I went to Forgestar Wheels and we measured to see if an 18x10" rim would fit up front and also make sure that the 18" rims will clear the sport package brakes. Forgestar is confident that everything will be just fine!
