No they are not for DD setups. If its a DD you will want to go with reclineables for comfort and for the fact that they work with the stock seat belts. Since my car is a DD I will only use the BRIDEs for SEMA and then put the stock seats back in until I can get the proper supporting safety gear like a roll bar and harnesses to use with the BRIDEs.

Do the base models come with traction control? I know the base model 350Zs didn't have it. If you don't have traction control I don't think you will have the steering wheel position sensor and you won't have any problems installing the hub. You will have an airbag light though. Photos of the steering wheel setup are a few posts up. I am meeting with NRG at SEMA next week to discuss the fitment issue with the steering wheel position sensor.

EVO-R carbon side blades are here! They are excellent quality. Will try and get them on the car today for some pics.

Im talking like maybe once a month. What about the MonoFlex Teins? Ive only had experience with Skunk 2s on my civic and I loved them. Thanks for the information.

I personally don't like any of the off the shelf Tein products I have tried. I have had their Flex coilovers w/EDFC on my old 350Z and a set of their lowering springs on my old G35 personally and didn't care for either of them. I have met people who like their Teins but I based solely on my personal experience with them, that is my opinion.

Been slacking on this thread lately but have some updates.

Got a chance to finally test fit some prototype parts for Mishimoto and GTSPEC and they all fit!

Mishimoto Upper/Lower Radiator Hose Kit and Low Temp Thermostat..

GTSPEC Fender Braces (not fully installed in this photo, but they fit!)

Some other news and observations from this last set of time attack races last week.

Carbotech XP10/XP8 brake pads are the way to go for track duty on the stock Akebono brake kit. Went to two different tracks with them and have absolutely no complaints about the performance of my brake setup which is stock Akebono calipers, stock rotors, Challenge stainless steel braided brake lines, Carbotech pads, and AMSOIL brake fluid.

I have been running the same set of Nitto NT05 tires for the past three races now and they are shot. They are a great tire, but they don't last much longer than their NT01 R-Compound on the track. They are considerably slower after 10-15 heat cycles than they are brand new and now with probably 25 heat cycles on mine they are not only noticeably less grippy, but down to the wear bars in tread depth. That being said, they are still in my opinion the best option for people who will drive their car to and from the track and they still will last longer than R-Compounds. Their performance for a street tire on track is incredible and even at their worst performance they are still better than most other street tires out there in terms of grip. So maybe not a daily driver tire that you need to get 30k miles out of, but definitely a more than solid choice for the weekend track warrior that doesn't trailer his/her car.

We finally got to test the Kognition Design prototype wing and it blew us away with how much downforce it actually produced. In fact it produced more downforce than the wing was built for and...well...just read the update on page 3 of this thread .

DDMotorsports: Kognition Design Wing Development

EVO-R makes some strong parts. I had gotten numerous parts from EVO-R for the car to have on it at SEMA and had left everything on for these time attacks including the carbon fiber side blades. Well I had a little off-track excursion during the Super Lap Battle Finals at Buttonwillow, ripped one of the side blades off of the car, ran over it, and it came back with nothing more than a few scratches. Nice work EVO-R!

Do the EVO-R side skirt allow them to be tapered in a bit? Creating more visible at the rear and less at the front.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to mount them like that if you wanted.

I read all 16 pages mostly lol. Nice build up.

I must have missed if there was resolution to the clunking noise you guys all had in common with the SPC arm. Did that get figured out?

The only thing that I could do is raise the ride height so it wouldn't hit the top as much. It is definintely hitting though.

Do you know when the dry carbon engine cover is going to be released from password JDM?

I don't. I know they are trying to get my 370Z back in there to finish it up, but scheduling between us is tough through the holidays. They might try and find a local one to finish it up on, but not sure.
