15 370Z's Pearl White Roadster
Hi everyone, been wanting to put together a timeline of my Z roadster, modifications, road trips, random pictures to share with everyone. Please excuse if not all of these are in chronological order as I have accumulated thousands of pictures but I'll do my best.
Day 1: sometime in 2016. Purchased from a dealer in CT as a 2015 model year leftover. 67 miles on odometer, QAB sport touring roadster w/ Nav and 6-speed manual. Situated in garage with current daily drivers at that point: First detail and wax, brushed Z badges to get rid of chrome burger. 3m wrap on bumper, hood and mirror caps Window tint Guard dog on duty, my French bulldog Captain Exhaust installed Got rid of ugly piss yellow NYS license plates for the white ones, added brushed plate frame. LED plate bulbs and corners, DRL's wired to be on constant. I cannot overstate how much I hate the dorky OEM antenna, its an after thought at best and waves around in the wind. It makes a beautiful car look like a Hyundai accent or something similarly cheap. I know people use the stubby ones but I am not a fan. I found a sharkfin from a late model Murano, same paint code and everything. Bolted right on, you lose FM reception but who cares, I only Bluetooth stream or use XM for music. At this point we added a second co-driver, a blue female bulldog named Morgan. Here's a couple of my co-drivers: I gutted the trunk to gain some space for luggage and we did a few road trips. Heres a few from various trips we did. Then it was time to upgrade the daily drivers: At this point I started to grow bored with the OEM rays wheels. I felt the dark color clashed with the pearl white paint and the wine colored top. I found a set of OEM Alcoas for sale and bought them. More road trips: Decided to break up the sea of white paint on the back end. Added carbon diffuser from a forum member here: Went to 285 wide rear tires: Found ART pipes from a member: Ordered rear spoiler, test fitting: Decided it needed a little more carbon. Ordered Varis front lip from Fly1, and Mine's spoiler add-on from Powertrix, figured I could make it fit somehow. Its definitely a bit off but doable. While waiting for front lip to show up I ordered SPL suspension parts , great experience with Kyle @ importpartspro. Also wrapped ART pipes: Got BC true rear coilovers: Installed and lowered: Front lip finally showed up so car went to the body shop to get the spoiler and front lip installed. Painted upper half of the lip color matched QAB: Got her back home, cleaned and waxed. Model credit to my buddy Squirrel (my 17lb cat) Really happy with how the rear spoiler came out. It looks like it belongs. To any roadster owners wondering how you can use the Mine's / Powertrix add on, you will need to reshape the front corners where the roadster spoiler stops short (the coupe spoiler comes to more of a point) also underneath he added a "lip" to meet the curvature of the Powertrix piece. Really looks amazing in person. It has a nice bump up in the middle, without looking like a duckbill style which I cannot stand. How we are sitting currently: Wheels are unfortunately super sunk. I have ordered Forgestar F14, matte brushed center, polished lip and barrel. 20x10.5 / 20x12. Future plans: Roll bar, get rid of ugly stock roll hoops Upgrade speakers but would like to keep the stock head unit / nav 2pc Rotors / upgrade pads + lines Powdercoat calipers to match top Suggestions welcome. Thanks for looking! Last edited by 15 370Z; 05-14-2020 at 06:55 PM. |

Great build! The wheels really complement the convertible.
I’m a bit biased as I drive a PW Sport coupe. The front lip looks great and I also have the Powertrix CF spoiler add-on. Have you thought of black housing headlights? Whether 2019+ OEM or modified? Again, ride looks great!

So by removing the Styrofoam insert, and cutting the spare tire mount off, I got an extra probably 8" of depth to the trunk floor. You can see a gym bag now comes up to the level where the trunk floor used to be. We are able to fit 2 full size suitcases and a few duffle bags. The air pump and gel as well as the tow bar I stash behind the front seats. You can also see in the pictures how I added 2x Pioneer 8" subs behind the seats in the cubby holes. They are not loud but they add a bit of low end bass to the factory Bose. |

Fantastic build! I, too, have a blue Frenchie. The breed complements the car well!
