Front of the car broke down and parts have been brought to my house. A2W intercoolers, Intake and oil pan are out for welding. Crash bar has been dropped off for powder coating. I saw that the powder coater can do high lighter yellow so I'm going to have him accent a couple parts with that color. For sure the turbos. I was thinking about doing the shock tower trim and coil bracket.
The engine and transmission have been dropped out for final inspection and build. BTR rockers have been released so those have been ordered: https://www.facebook.com/brian.toole...52909588054463 An ATI 10% under drive was also ordered so that my belts can route past the water pump. I hope that's enough... Push rod length will be measured this coming weekend if all goes well. AutoDynamix was cleaned and organized because it was getting out of hand. It's hard to do good work in a dirty shop.: https://www.instagram.com/p/CKKTIZvH..._web_copy_link |

One year later... I find myself painting the engine bay. again. This time I dropped the k member. The engine bay was degreased and then scuffed. I found some issues with the paint that required attention, nothing major because I got after it now.
Today was a long *** day. Paint prep SUCKS. 9am - 9pm. Don't even feel like writing much... lol |

Looking at that front with nothing there. You wonder how is that a stiff chassis? But it is.

The way everything is bolted on stiffens it. The engine sub-frame, crash bar, the brace over the engine, radiator support, etc.

Engine bay has officially been painted. It's decent. There some lint in the paint by the firewall because I didn't run a tack cloth. I used a cotton cloth that left a few fibers. The bay is darker than the OE paint because the primer is grey instead of white. apparently that matters. Outside of that, I'm happy with the results and ok with it. This whole path literally branched from battery acid lifting paint, which caused some rust. Then I got the bright idea to stitch weld from Bryan Settle. Not doing that again. It did, however, make me feel comfortable modifying the engine bay as needed for modifications.
