Sorry it took me a bit longer to get the pictures up than normal. I try to get them up the next day after the IG post normally. Also I try to add in a few additional thoughts and more pictures here.

From IG@gbrettin:
separate posts:
(Install of waterpump)
Not a bad swap from the water manifold to the Meziere electric pump. Both have the chrome to break up the black. The biggest perk is not having to mess with a remote pump. I'll use the Davies Craig pump on my air to water system. Win win.

(testing a threaded inlet)
Couldn't be simple. The pump has to be disassembled to screw on a threaded aluminum pipe which has an outlet for my heater core. A -16 bung also needs to be welded on so that the line coming from the CSF radiator can connect. All this will be done when the engine gets pulled.

(drilled the new oil pan)
Pan needs an oil drain. Drill the new pan. The aluminum welds are piling up.

(bracket making 1)
Making the mounting bracket for the expansion tank. The bracket has space for two, one for the coolant system and the other for the intercoolers.

(bracket making 2)
Welded and grinded, per usual. The mount will work beautiful. It will be made perfect when the engine is pulled, which is coming up soon.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Another swirlpot has been ordered. That should be here in a couple days and then I will chop it up like the last one. Nothing better than grinding up 120 part. The aluminum is thin... so DONT SLIP! lol

I need to order a few more -16 bungs... I'm going to order a few extra. The shipping is getting silly.

Well. I am officially "that guy"... I reached out to CSF and see if they wanted to partner up with my build in some sort of way. They had expressed a little interest and asked what coolers I was looking for.

Options were sent to them for the oil cooler, trans, steering and an additional radiator for the air to water coolers.

I made it clear I am not looking for free stuff; although, I wouldn't turn it away. Additionally, I would sell my other fluid coolers to make sure their products would be ran.

Honestly, I'm not sure what to expect. I'm somewhat torn on even going that route because I don't want to be beholden to anyone with my build. Having the option to rip something out because it sucks is a pretty nice option. Then again... if you see me wearing a CSF Tshirt in every picture... You'll know what happened.

Man.... who discloses that type of information above. Me, I guess me. I simply don't care to hold back anything about this build. I have no shame.

IG@gbrettin
Repurposed my old Fast Intentions 34 row oil cooler. A reusable part! Path of the oil will run from the engine to the remote oil cooler. Out the filter to the 34 row cooler back to the engine. At some point I will need to T into the line returning to the engine for the Accusump. The Accusump will have its own inlet on the remote filter to pressurize the oil system if needed.

-------------------------------

Yeah, so I mounted the oil cooler twice. lol.

Haven't really been to the shop to work on my car because I'm waiting on a few parts, specifically a SPAL 16" high output fan and a pie cut vice. The hot and cold side need to be finished which is why I need the pie cut vice/jig. Auto Dynamix wired up their big a$$ band saw finally. I figured the only way to make the cold side from the A2W was to use all pies. Thankfully, I will be able to tack them all together using the TIG welder. Using tape is nice up to a point but it starts getting ridiculous after it starts snaking around.

SO...

Momentum can't be lost. I remembered I have Finite Element fender vents sitting in my basement along with my fenders. No better time to carve than now; besides, I found it oddly cathartic.

The last fender is done. Paint is drying so I didn't get any side by side pictures to see how far I'm out of whack matching them up. They should be dead on... but then again. I measured them.

Oh, a little context for the first few pictures. The plastic template was WAY out of spec because it has been sitting so long. Tape was used all around the border of the vent + plastic template. Heat was then applied to the template with my heat gun, hot hot so that it reshaped the template. I then used my freezer to ensure that the plastic froze the shape.

Couple final thoughts while I was getting the pictures around.

1. I was using air tools until about 9pm. Not a huge deal but it's dark about 6:00pm. My neighborhood was probably not loving me.
2. My compressor sucks for air tools. Took me 5x longer than it would at the shop.
3. Nissan puts a reinforcement urethane rubber on the inside of the fender. That smelled HORRIBLE when I hit it with the grinder.

Verdict is in. The vents are symmetrical! Next up, panel bond.

In the next coming months I'm going to have to remove my dash. This will give me easy access to handle all wiring. I plan on ripping a lot of wiring out and replacing my fuse box with a PMU. I've been looking at ECUmaster but I'm keeping my options open. More info here:
https://www.ecumaster.com/products/pmu/

Although, that might not be the exciting news. I have a buddy that has lots of carbon fiber experience. He agreed to tag team an effort to create a complete carbon fiber/kevlar dash. We talked about doing a 3 layer dash with a thin core material. The clear will be a matt finish; however, I suspect I'll need to either apply some neodymium magnets to the dash for a leather/cloth finish or flock the dash. Think of tar and feathering or do a google search.
Random fun update.
