And now the fun begins... Edit - I was able to swing out to the performance shop and snap a few pictures.

Shouldn't be too bad for the engine build, it's all new parts. Now dumping it into the engine bay... that might be a different story.
Side note...I'm thinking about using an engine plate instead of billet motor mounts. That should put an interesting twist on things. |

I had to pump the brakes on putting my long block together. I wanted to add piston oil squirters to the engine and I'm waiting on getting the jig that allows for holes to be drilled in the block. After that the block will need to go back to the machine shop to 100% remove any burrs that may have been produced. Sucks, but there's a reason why high performance engines have it done (including the VQVHR).
My FITech throttle bodies came in today, and they are ridiculously large! lol. Hopefully it doesn't hurt air velocity being so large... but what ever, I'm committed now. -Edit: Larger throttle bodies will just make the throttle respond quicker. Once boost starts kicking in, it will shove the air into the large openings. ZERO issues with 102mm. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...00000042513541 Last edited by gbrettin; 06-16-2019 at 04:48 PM. |
