I am very happy with the motor MA-Motorsports built for me. The proof is it is running and running strong. No issues. Make sure you start the build process a year in advance. Do not skimp on the motor build no matter the cost.

Let's talk timelines so you can be more prepared. Nobody ever talks about this. I had to learn and so is Hotrodz now. Yeah, you can buy one from IPP but they have had issues and won't take care of you if things go wrong. You can buy a junkyard long block and through it in. Don't expect it to last long at all.
1.) You blow the motor. You are looking at 1 1/2 years before you car will be back on the road as a rule of thumb. 2.) If you build your current motor in your car. You are looking at 1 1/2 yrs before you car will be back on the road. 3.) You buy a junkyard motor. Cost is around $1700 to $2500 dollars. Don't go buy one yourself. Let the shop locate one from a trusted source. Why, because if the motor is full of sludge or is flat out junk they can get another one from trusted source with no more money. If you get one, good luck getting the place to stand behind their junk. Your car will be up and running the year it takes to get built. It may take a shorter amount of time. When the car goes into the shop for install, expect up to 6 months for the car to be ready. They will need your ATI damper and clutch to balance the assembly. Expect to buy new ones for said purpose and the new build. Don't expect them to use old junk. All timming chains, guides, tensioners should be new Nissan parts. Hope this helps you be informed of the long wait. |

Even though you bought the boosted kit be prepared to spend way more than 5K on just about everything you need to properly run this kit. I am way past 5K and had the same mindset.

I'm well aware, thanks. I've done literally hundreds of hours of reading on this, plus interviewing people who have the kit.

I haven't, I'll shoot him a pm. I'd much rather someone else have learned the lessons for me 😉

I'm sure. There are lessons to learn with every kit. My long tube headers are from a guy who had switched to a FI TT kit and had his car catch fire. You can engineer the best kit in the world and a mistake can still screw it up.

Had a great talk with Al (Solidus). He was incredibly helpful and had a lot of good information. Thanks for your time Al, if you're reading this! Appreciate the recommendation to reach out, Spooler.
