![]() ![]() Fittings cleaned up ![]() Used a counter sink bit to taper the inlet ![]() Proof of concept. I will be using a 6AN Tee with a female on the adapter side so a 90* can go to the passenger turbo and a 45* or 60* can go down to the drivers side. ![]() A shot of the water feed and oil drain. The turbo feed line I ordered was about 8" too short. I'm ordering a 36" line since this is a 27". The upper coolant port uses a 180* fitting to point under the manifold and up the back of the block. ![]() Passenger side, what a tight fit. I had to cut off a piece of the compressor housing casting to clear the 90* fitting. A 120* might work better. ![]() Here's a shot from underneath showing that line ![]() Actuator mounting mod after clocking the compressor housing clockwise Tomorrow I MIGHT see about pushing the motor back in the bay. If I can do that then its hot side and intake piping time ![]()

![]() ![]() Got the broken engine with the turbos on back in along with the radiator support, intercooler and cold side piping. ![]() This bracket that the wiring harness clips to will need trimming to run the intake for the passenger side ![]() I need to adjust the compressor housing clockwise a small amount but the hot side piping is pretty simple. There is no way in hell i can fit an intake to run the way i want to run it without converting to the newer low side ac line. I also need a lower profile fitting than that big *** -12AN off the coolant adapter plate. I have a 1/2" NPT to 3/4" hose barb in the summit cart ![]() I'm gonna have to bend the newer low side ac line up a bit and fire sleeve it as well. I'm having a well deserved day off tomorrow with my son, thursday I'll be tack welding the hot side piping together and confirming fitment. I also need to get my VVEL ladders off to AAM next week as well so they can bolt everything down with the C2's

Well looks like its an AAM stage 1 long block now! They are still going to pull down the heads I got from ElmoZ to do a 3 angle valve job which I wasn't expecting financially but it will be worth it for sure. I should find out today how far back that sets me time wise.
I've pulled all the accessories off the motor and started pulling the timing covers but have decided to leave the timing covers on until the new motor arrives so nothing can go missing.

![]() ![]() Well as you can see things are a bit tight on the drivers side. I had 2 options, a little longer and more complicated intake and leave the stock AC lines alone or mod the AC lines and have a shorter intake. I decided it was better to be able to pick up off the shelf AC lines rather than have to mod any future ones if I did end up needing. ![]() As a result, I have this pizza slice S to side step the AC compressor and run the intake above the hot pipe ![]() The passenger side appears to be a little less work. I will be testing these mock ups later on today. This exits by the power steering pump, I am hoping i can just do another couple pizza slices to point them to point where traditional intakes go through the radiator support

Looks like things are on track for the most part with the motor but it's taking a little longer than hoped. They were closed a day or 2 with the crappy weather so not too much of a big deal.
Chase always answers the phone and always does his best to get me caught up on progress so I've got that going for me which is nice. In related news I think getting the Varis hood fell through due to lead time, waiting on confirmation tomorrow morning when its morning in Japan.

Yeah I am a sucker for 5 spoke wheels. Stuck on what tires to get though, it's either get something that will grip and not last because of the 100 treadwear or get something cheaper that won't last because of the wheel spin.
The $1550 set of R888R's will end up costing me around $2400 after shipping and duty. It sucks that there are no 200tw options in the sizing we need that are reasonably priced (RS4, VR1, R1R, Rivals, V720). Hankook V12's are what I'm leaning towards

Just ordered up the gauges, the last of the fittings and an ATI damper from Summit.
Went with Innovate, the ECF-1, boost/rpm and oil pressure/temp. I guess I have enough time on my hands I can pull the dash and remove the stock center gauges. ![]()

Didn't end up getting access to a lift again so nothing to report other than I'm still here with my **** in my hand and no real information/update other than it's still at the machine shop. Not sure what that means as far as progress (have they touched it? was it honed? are they waiting on some back ordered part?)
I'm a pretty laid back guy so if it's delayed...meh. Just update me is all. Emails asking about any additional purchases are answered fairly promptly, emails asking for a little more specific update on where everything is at are ignored. I know this comes as no surprise to some of you, I'm just venting as I have no one to blame but myself.

Apparently the motor is almost finished. That would be nice.
That being said I have a temporary distraction! My wheels reached the freight forwarder (who has a potato camera) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Also pulled the trigger on a clutch, getting the OS Giken Street Masters twin plate. Just need to get another CMAK from Zspeed
