That is good news to read. Might as well toss on the lines while everything is out of the way.

Confirmed all is well with Husam doing some data logging and he has now cleared me for wot pulls.

Currently chasing a breaking up issue. Changed the plugs and gapped them down to 0.7mm. Fuel pressure is good when it happens so I will try changing the fuel.

sirnixalot 12-11-2019 01:49 PM

Looks like it was a coil. But now I still have a misfire on cyl4. Swapped coils but the problem stayed with cyl 4, use a spare coil and plug to confirm the connector was getting signal and the plug fires.

I will be checking the fuel injector tonight and swapping that to another cyl and see if the problem follows.

Turns out I didn't seat the injector connector on cyl 4 properly.

All is going well now and I will be getting the car on the scales to get some "accurate" virtual dyno numbers after all is said and done

Got the tires finally. Cooper Zeon RS3-S in 285/35 and 325/30.

I had to raise the front of the car up which was expected and something I needed to do anyway. While I was concerned about the rear fitment earlier, it actually worked perfectly with the 325's.

Initially after a day of rolling the mold release out of them and only being on wastegate boost (9-10psi) they are impressing me so far.

Lookin good man!

sirnixalot 12-17-2019 04:18 PM

Looks like I have run out of MAF since I used 2.75" intercooler piping and not 3" so Husam is doing hybrid MAF and Speed density.

Pretty happy with the progress so far

Should be ready to empty the tank and fill up with VP X98 on the weekend. We don't get pump E85 here so the flex fuel stuff is mainly for race day since it still ends up cheaper than MS109 with better results

Got the car on the scales finally. This is with a full tank of gas, no spare tire stuff in the trunk, drivers seat swapped out for a Bride Vios3 and sparco seat base.

Not TOO bad but I do need to make some adjustments to even out the diagonal weights

Pretty close to what my Nismo was when weighed it a couple years ago. It was 3450 with me in it and a full tank of gas. I still had the factory passenger seat and Sparco race seat. Everything else was the same as yours.

I'm not sure what I can even do about weight loss since most of the panels are aluminum, 2 piece rotors are pretty much it? I don't think I will worry about it too much since the car is awesome at this power level and I can turn on the AC and cruise.

One thing you can do but is get a lightweight battery. That will knock about 25 or better pounds out of the front end.

I didn't even think of that for some reason.

Pump gas tune is sorted and I gotta say I'm pretty ******* happy

Grain of salt and what have you with virtual dyno but there aren't any dyno's on the island so this will have to do. It's damned fast and 3rd is the only time i see traction.

We have moved on to an ethanol map today, currently the innovate content gauge says 80% content. I drained the tank by disconnecting the line at the filter under the car and tried to start the car so it would run out what was left but the car would not start after the drain.

Poured in 15gals of VP X98 so there was still some pump gas left so once I top it up with some more hopefully it will rise above the 80%.

Zezus 12-30-2019 02:06 PM

I bet this thing is a riot to drive.
Are you going to run a boost by gear tune?
