I believe those TT kits CAN be installed without pulling the motor. I'm sure it's a tight squeeze and something that has the potential to be regretted partway through. This not from personal experience of course, just an educated guess. |

HD CSC will be just fine. In fact, I am not really certain why the CSC delete kits are so popular when the HD CSC performs, is less expensive (I think?), and more closely mirrors the OEM design. I believe FI and AAM pull the motor to install their TT kits, but there has been speculation that could be done without. The Gamma V3 kit can for certain be installed without pulling the motor... I know since I did it. Gamma also leaves the motor in when they install in-house. That being said, the level of difficulty in installing a TT kit is far higher compared to the BP kit, even more so now that he has moved to oil-less turbos. I do love my TT though. =)

I think the HD CSC is only $100 cheaper if I remember correctly. I think a lot of people are like me and just aren't really keen on having the slave sitting inside the bell housing with the clutch and flywheel. A leaking external slave requires a new slave, a leaking internal slave requires a new slave and a clutch disc atleast and requires a lot more labor. Your build thread was actually what made me realize that most of the TT kits on the market require (or suggest atleast) that the motor and transmission be remove for installation. I really love the TT kits but I cant justify pulling the engine just yet. I have heard and read a lot of bad things about GTM which is why I have steered clear of their SC and Turbo kits. It seems that your kit has held up just fine without any major issues though. I definitely like the simplicity of the BP kit and the fact that their aren't more oil lines that can possibly start to leak at some point.

Every time I take the Z out I am reminded exactly why I purchased this car. I can only imagine how awesome it will be when its turbo!!
I do need to get an oil cooler very soon though. I may have to get a oil cooler now and sell it when the kit from BP comes. That or see if Sasha will take the oil cooler out of the kit for me.

Also been considering installing the Whistler 2290 remote Radar/Laser detector custom install kit in the 370. Just gotta figure out the best spot to mount the lights and controls. If anyone has installed one of these or something similar I am up for suggestions on where to put it.
