That's my understanding of the external delete kits as well. Do your clutch, flywheel and whatever else that area requires before installing the BP kit as you're not going to have an easy time of it after the fact.

I believe those TT kits CAN be installed without pulling the motor. I'm sure it's a tight squeeze and something that has the potential to be regretted partway through. This not from personal experience of course, just an educated guess.

HD CSC will be just fine. In fact, I am not really certain why the CSC delete kits are so popular when the HD CSC performs, is less expensive (I think?), and more closely mirrors the OEM design.

I believe FI and AAM pull the motor to install their TT kits, but there has been speculation that could be done without. The Gamma V3 kit can for certain be installed without pulling the motor... I know since I did it. Gamma also leaves the motor in when they install in-house. That being said, the level of difficulty in installing a TT kit is far higher compared to the BP kit, even more so now that he has moved to oil-less turbos. I do love my TT though. =)

Yeah I am most definitely going to do the clutch, flywheel, and HD CSC before the kit goes on for sure. It will definitely make working on the transmission a bit more time consuming but I can deal with that.

Yeah not sure I would want to attempt to do the TT kits with the motor in the car. Definitely "looks" easier with the motor out. I would have to build the motor if I went to all the trouble to pull it out of the car and I am not quite ready to have the car down for that amount of time just yet.

I think the HD CSC is only $100 cheaper if I remember correctly. I think a lot of people are like me and just aren't really keen on having the slave sitting inside the bell housing with the clutch and flywheel. A leaking external slave requires a new slave, a leaking internal slave requires a new slave and a clutch disc atleast and requires a lot more labor.

Your build thread was actually what made me realize that most of the TT kits on the market require (or suggest atleast) that the motor and transmission be remove for installation. I really love the TT kits but I cant justify pulling the engine just yet. I have heard and read a lot of bad things about GTM which is why I have steered clear of their SC and Turbo kits. It seems that your kit has held up just fine without any major issues though. I definitely like the simplicity of the BP kit and the fact that their aren't more oil lines that can possibly start to leak at some point.

=) I think you're on the right track! If I had not gotten such an amazing deal on my TT kit, I probably would have gone BP.

Do want to clear something up that is a rather large misconception on this forum.. GTM made well designed products, but they screwed a ton of people and had terrible customer service. When GTM closed down, Gamma bought their IP and hired the previous owner as a consultant since they had no technical knowledge of what they just bought (he is no longer there, they had to fire him because of the bad pub of even having him on staff. He has since passed).

Because of this, many on this forum (including AK and Trips) seem to believe that Gamma = GTM which is not true.. Gamma is not even allowed to be a sponsor on this forum. They have taken excellent care of me since I purchased this kit, including honoring the price and deposit I made to GTM during the V3 group buy fiasco which they certainly did not have to do. I have continued to get great support from them since as well...

Just wanted to say that... There is so much GTM hate on this forum I try to correct it as much as I can. This is the main 370z community and we are actively, and unnecessarily in my opinion, harming someone else's livelihood.

I really appreciate you clearing that up because I always assumed that GTM and Gamma were the same. Its very good to know that they are not and that they treated you so well when GTM screwed you over. I will definitely keep Gamma in mind in the future for purchases.

Every time I take the Z out I am reminded exactly why I purchased this car. I can only imagine how awesome it will be when its turbo!!

I do need to get an oil cooler very soon though. I may have to get a oil cooler now and sell it when the kit from BP comes. That or see if Sasha will take the oil cooler out of the kit for me.

Also been considering installing the Whistler 2290 remote Radar/Laser detector custom install kit in the 370. Just gotta figure out the best spot to mount the lights and controls. If anyone has installed one of these or something similar I am up for suggestions on where to put it.
